I can't stand this guy much longer. All he does is complain about lack of energy or suckage on D. Yet he NEVER EVER does anything about it despite all but coming right out and saying it's on Harden. I hate this passive aggressive BS that he pulls. Just bench the guy if you are not happy with his d. Stop putting it on other guys with the bs "we". Everyone knows whos not stepping up on D. Stop dancing around it. Do your damn job
Can someone tell me what this guy actually does as coach? Draw up plays? Of course not Come up with defensive schemes? No not that either Teach Dwight the post? Ehhh, D12's post game is inconsistent at best Get the team revved up and ready to go? Hahahahah no way. Make substitutions that keep players in the flow and fresh? Nope he'll put that on players. "they can't get tired, this isn't lifting timber!" or whatever he says. So besides providing us with baffled looks, asking for more energy and taking about a lack of energy after every loss, what does he actually do?
Forget all the "pop, flow, stickiness, zip, banging, hitting on all cylinders crap"... Just hold ALL your players accountable on defense and sit their asses down if they don't give a 100% Mchale!!!!
I know a lot of Texan fans hate the ole "It's on me..." speech..but man I'd love to hear it one day from McHale. I try not to take much from comments but He always blames the players for losses. Simply saying that they did not play hard enough. For once I would love to hear the Old Kubiak speech. "It's on me, we got to do better as coaches John. We just let our guys down and we got to get them prepared better for the next game." or "I should have called a timeout that last play with James there. Make sure we get a good play and a good shot..." Has he ever blamed himself for a loss?
McHale never blamed himself for a loss. Harden has never owned up to anything either. They make a great combo.
Is there any historical case where a coach was fired midseason with a very good record? I mean, as long as we continue to be a top 5 seed and have a pretty good record, I don't see there being a change (even though we need it badly). Probably have to wait for the end of the season to change coaches.
Sun's claimed 5th spot today. We are number 6 in the West. We could very easily slip to 8th and be fighting for a play-off spot due to a more difficult schedule (as in playing more highly ranked teams) from now on. Gawd I hope McHale is gone sooner than later but I think they'll play the season out. If we don't get out of the 1st round, it should be automatic that he goes.
It really sucks to. I would rather eat crow and Rockets win but McHale and Harden have to prove me right. On another note, to all the people that called me a LOF or a 2012er because I was pointing out Harden's crap or I asked for another coach... What now?!
There was only ONE "It's on me..." speech McHale had ever given--his first speech as a Rockets HC. Nothing ever came after that and never took the blame for not delivering his promise. http://www.deseretnews.com/article/700141295/Kevin-McHale-introduced-as-Rockets-coach.html?pg=all
Morey thinks we should be able to grab 4th seed, HCA. If that doesn't happen, gawd I hope he and Les use that as a consideration for not extending McHale's contract.
I'd like McHale to remain with the Rockets, maybe something in the front office. I'd really like for Jeff Van Gundy to return, but I know that won't happen.
With the right coach it is. No one is being used to their strengths and we were 5th in a very tough conference.

If the Rockets finish behind the Suns at the end of the season, that alone should be grounds for McFail's firing.
