Can't compare Dragic to our guards. He's given free reign on the Suns to do what he wants. Not the same for Lin, PB and AB here.

and how do we go about getting rondo, boston's best player once healthy, and millsap, Atlanta's leading scorer now that horford is injured, and Anderson, new orleans' leading scorer (just to come off the bench).

I just joined the thread and I'm sure there are 59 pages of Harden bashing already posted. However, i have got to say that was probably by far the worst game in NBA history by a player that scored 38 points or more. The effort on d is horrible. He gives weak help off his man, leaving his man wide open...if you are going to give help defense give HELP DEFENSE. Im truly beginning to wonder if he has A.D.D., he seems to forget that he has a man to guard on off the ball defense several times a game. Terrible effort...etc

Harden put it well, too: Playing with fire and you get burned. The first half we played sluggish, we played slow, we didn’t guard at all."

    **** Harden !

I have heard that bull**** enough - either you learn from your mistakes or you keep repeating them.

He and the rest of the team continually come out like they are world beaters and can coast their way to victory.

SCREW THAT NOISE - play hard, this team needs a leader in the worst way, and if it is not on the floor - then it needs to be on the bench and that ain't happening either, McHale is a horrible coach.

Brooks played bad Defense tonight. Both Isaiah and Jimmer took it right to Brooks, and scored again and again.

Harden was playing good defense up until Bev got injured. The Lin-Harden backcourt is just a bridge too far on D. Accepting that partnership, people need to accept that, that combination will always need to make up for it on offense.

This lost can also be because of the bench. Being out scored 30 to 14.

Have you forgotten all his previous terrible defensive games? Harden stepped it up for a little bit after being questioned so much about it but then reverted back to his norm.

True. All the flack given to Harden but he did carry us before the meltdown in the last few minutes. There is no excuse for Jimmer to get 10 points in 12 minutes.

Then again, they had 6 bench players to our 3. That's 76 minutes vs 46 minutes, so of course our bench is gonna be outscored by their bench. The problem was our starters.

Uh, no he wasn't. Harden's lack of defensive effort this season has been so bad it's been getting mentioned by folks at ESPN, not just posters on Clutchfans. It's not that he's a bad or unskilled defender. That would be frustrating, but somewhat justifiable. It's that the guy literally doesn't play any defense on a ton of possessions. There's a reason the Rockets' record without Harden this season is really good. I'm not saying they're better without him, but it does prove that his ability to score is overrated considering how much he's giving up to the opposing team on the other end.

Lin is the bench. Since he's been moved into the starting unit, there's no one reliable left.

Bev's a good defender but even he can't guard two guys at once. And Harden needs to carry a heavier load on offense to compensate for Bev leading him to conserve more energy on defense.

Did you see Dwight Howard at the rim waiting for Jimmer? That's how it happened. Asik needs to get healthy and get back in the rotation.
