Enough with the Dream complaints, bashings, and controversies; let's just WAVE THAT OFF!!

Time to get ready for the Western Conference and a very tough December. We need some Mo. And I love that high post!

This play was seen once in pre-season and once in November, and is building steam now with a simpler variation. The simpler variation of this is being done once a game now, and is the reason you are seeing all the Francis Alley-oops. This is the best way to utilize Mo that I've seen to date--in the High Post, baby!

We invented this name because of the positions used, and because it pivots at the elbow.

Disclaimer: The Clutchplays crew can promise each play has been run by the Rockets, at least once. While these plays are for Rabid consumption, these are not speculative plays. So, let's talk some GAME ACTION!!!

    I feel the pressure. [IMG]

you will see the simpler variation that doesn't have Walt coming around the Elbow post player, and is primarily a one option play (alley-oop to Francis).

    Nice play.

Do you have any options/wrinkles to the play? One that comes to mind is on the initial pass to Walt off Mo's pick, Steve could jab off the pick and then fade into the corner/wing while Dream or SA could flash into the paint for a quick-hitting layup, especially if weakside tries to sniff out the lob. Just something to take advantage of the same action and set.

    Live,

I have a golden rule. Never post a play without tape proof. We try to do that with all options as well, but sometimes you have to see the play about a dozen times before all the options present themselves; so rather than wait for proof, we take liberties by borrowing traditional options from other systems.

btw: that play has 3 options, plus a flex reset. Walt can shoot; Walt can throw the alley-oop; Mo can shoot/drive; Mo can flex to the weakside.

About your suggested option: That won't work. Note that everytime I've seen Francis get an alley-oop he is going full speed around that pick, so the passer must make the read at that point. The pass is in the air within a step of the pick.

Having an option for Francis to do anything *other* than run that route would screw up the passer.

Wouldn't it be better to be able to do a single step rewind in addition to the current full rewind?

I've definitely considered that. But, I have space problems with adding a 4th button (ie 2 single steps F/R, a non-stop, and a reset). So, I chose the Reset as the Rew default behavior.

Who prefers the REW to be a single-step backup button rather than a full Reset?
