Lin is as good, if not better, than Harden trying to go right. Lin's reverse layout is a style that creates offensive space for himself and protecting the ball better, it is also more confusing to the defender which is why I think he likes to use it sometimes. Otherwise if there's no defense he'll just use the left hand normally. Against Utah in his first game as a started, he made a left hand layout while double pumping in traffic, so strength is not an issue.
How the hell did Lin making a great reverse that he frequently does turn into a massive discussion of how he needs to play more under control/use his left. He's said himself he jumps alot better off his natural right foot, so at that speed hes obviously more confident to make the shot going to the reverse.
Figured you weren't. I am on that board. Why? Because I'm a Houston Fan. Save your "real Rox fan" when addressing one of my posts. You're a 2013er, who defends Lin, and doesn't post on any other Houston boards. Not accusing you of anything, just looks suspicious. Back to your initial post... Lin has playing well overall this year. Already stated this. Does reading it again make you feel warm and fuzzy inside? No, I expect Beverley to... that's why I like him starting. Also like Lin's offensive prowess coming off the bench. Beverley can use some improvement offensively. Never said he didn't. btw- probably not a good idea to use Lin's "full season experience" as an argument, without mentioning the same when speaking on Beverley's limitations.
I'm just setting out my stance. I responded to your specific arguments. But if your only response is going to be to attack me personally based on the typical witch hunting that goes on around here then you might as well go jerk off in a tissue or something.
Some of you seriously need to get a life. Can't believe a thread about some acrobatic layups eventually became an intense debate. Some of the posters on here really do live vicariously through Lin.
Boys and Girls, let's stay on the subject of reverse layups. Let's not debate on "Real Roc Fan" and Join day on Clutchfans. I witnessed several of Lin's reverse layups. Lin is not a finished product yet. He needed to develop more of this and other shots with consistency. His reverse layups bring back memory of Michael Jordan: <iframe width="640" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/7vBc395dSg4?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> No, I am not comparing Lin to MJ! Lin, take your NBA journey one step at a time, God Bless!
once he beats his man off the dribble, and a center steps up to him in the lane, this may start being his go to move. It's better than him stopping in the lane with no one to pass to or trying to force a pass that will lead to a turnover. I saw this move against OKC last year & a few other games, maybe someone will make a small video of it. I practice this move in pick up games because it's less likely you get your shot blocked because the defender usually jumps early not knowing you're going to to lay it up on the other saide.
He has 2 accounts also, this is REEKO_HTOWN who has a lot of rep on t hat account. Guess this is the one he uses to bash with. I know because REEKO_htown and this GIL account are the only two direct messages I have in my account and the both say the exact same thing, same 8 words.
For the first reverse lay up, Lin should have slowed it down and not taken the layup as it was a 1 on 4. Just wait for the rest of his teammates to catch up. For the second reverse lay up, Lin should have passed it to DMo the trailer for a dunk. There ... happy?
