    A backup that is.

One who is somewhat competent offensively and defensively. That way we arent running hardens sprained ankle into the ground. Our best legit wing player on ghe bench is garcia. Harden played 44 minutes last night...44 minutes. Theres gotta be someone out there that can be had for asik. Im willing to go with t jones and hopefully smith as a tandem at pf at this point. Maybe someone like shumpert, whom the knickd have been trying to give away recently.

And why would we do that? Is Shumpert even better than Beverley.

I like Shumpert, but why in the world would we trade Lin for him?

This team DO NEED big men. Basically they have nobody beside Howard. Did you see we get killed out there giving up 2nd chances opportunity constantly because there are a bunch of shorty that can't rebound the ball or doesn't box out?? We're lucky we survived the Grizzlies domination inside....but c'mon seriously, you really think we're okay w/ a bench that have no decent big men inside. I always hope they do okay without a big men when Howard sit, but it's time to stop HOPING!! It's time to get real...the Houston's bench is weak. When Asik come back...it will solve everything though.

Deng is going to be re-signed by the Bulls. Afflalo would take a load to get.

Why trade a PG who possibly could see an all-star game once in his career for a below average guard?

Shumpert's value is pretty low at this point. I would hope we wouldn't have to give up someone of Lin's caliber to get him. He would be a decent 7th or 8th guy though.

Seriously doubt Deng gets resigned and Afflalo maybe attainable if you dangle a young player like Jones who fits with the youth movement.

Affalo might take Dwight Howard to get.

Too bad CLee's deal was a year too long. I'm sure Morey would have accepted that deal with any 2014 first round pick if Lee's deal didn't run past 2015.

I feel like Shump just needs to be somewhere else. He has the talent. Woul a Smith for Shumpert deal work?

How is Garcia's defense? I would not have expected his D to be that great and then he was our man against Durant in the playoffs. If he's a legit 3 & D player, I'm happy with him out there.

I am in the big man camp. We got killed in the first half on the glass the other night.

James Jones, who just signed with Memphis would have been perfect; 6'7", good handle, plays good defense, gets to the Rim w/authority, at 15-20 mins a game. Morey is looking for someone on the cheap and he would have been perfect.

He killed it while he was in the game!

    NO! JUST NO!

Garcia and a pick for James Jones or we find someone in the dleague. I havent chcked the trade Garcia may make a bit more than Jones so we might have to throw in something else.

The Rockets realistically do not "need" anything. They have an incredibly deep and talented roster. Injuries can hurt any team, but thankfully the Rockets have not suffered a long term one to their critical players.
