Props to 2k, with everyone complaining about the heavy use of VC in this game, 2k has responded by giving out about 20-25k VC for free in the past week alone.
Wife just got me this game for Xmas. ABSOLUTELY LOVE playing with the Rockets. I kill it from three with every forward except Jones (haven't put Motiejunas in the rotation yet) and Isiah Caanan is my secret weapon. Actually I have him in my starting 5 instead of Lin and Bev. I love the Rockets on this game and refuse to play with any other team, even the Heat. Also Paul George's jumper is pretty sweet, the cushion the opposition gives for 3s is stupid, I can't resist taking 3s all game. I'm playing on Hall of Fame mode.
The first time I was truly annoyed was when I noticed that you had to pay VC for individual dunk sets even after maxing dunk and buying dunk specials. With that said after all the free VC I was able to max my Speed, Quickness, buy the Highlight Reel package, and then some. My dude is ridiculous nasty now.
I traded him to the Rockets, just for the F of it. :grin: In association mode. But I have played with just the actual Rockets squad without any superstar for nothing trades.
I cheated. Went to Options > Manage Roster > switched Jeremy Lin for Paul George. This was before I started my Association Mode and then reset the rosters back after I saved my season.
Playing Sports God is ALWAYS exciting... It's always been the biggest thrill for me when it comes to playing sports based video games... Like bringing down the Yankees' payroll to league average before starting franchise mode.... Giving perennial losers a better chance at success... How is that not exciting...?

Rockets got 12th pick. my squad is legit rolling into April of year 2. the stars are locked up for 3 years and I'm on a quest for the perfect point guard. Don't remember the exact trades but my starting line up is Billups, Harden, Parsons, Gasol and Howard. I only traded for Gasol when Lebron mentioned he is testing FA.
