Wh would the guy care about the value since he is GIVING? Some people don't understand what a gift is about. Watch the video, you'll understand that Howard definitely tried to find what pleased most of his friends. Difference between them and the average citizen is that they can afford/want more expensive things.
Just saying that the initial report was that he got everyone on the team Rolex watches. Although very generous it doesn't take any thought to buy everyone the same thing. I was just giving Howard praise for being thoughtful. I couldn't say the same for one of my neighbors who gave everyone a bag of green colored popcorn.
Howard [...] also sprung for a five-figure pair of limited edition Nike Air Mags modeled after the glowing shoes that transported Michael J. Fox to the year 2015 in "Back To The Future II" to present to stunned Rockets guard Aaron Brooks. "Very, very exclusive," Brooks said. "He follows me on Instagram and he knows I'm into shoes and that's how he knew what I like. "So generous. Most people on the outside look at him wrong. I know 'cause I did, too, before [becoming Howard's teammate]. He's a great guy. Huge heart."
Shaq did this for his Lakers teammates. He did the purchase at a store in LA with his American Express card, the transaction couldn't get through because the large amount $$, so he had to get on the phone to convince them that he is Shaq to get it approved
Yeah in the video where Dwight explains the story behind his gifts he says that Brooks is a huge kicks fan and that they had to practice the day they came out so Brooks was pissed because he couldn't buy them. Dwight remembered and got him a pair. He also got some gift cards for J-Lin because apparently he loves shopping. ...and he said he didn't get Omer anything yet because he couldn't figure out what he wanted, because Omer never answered him when he asked what he liked haha.
To me, this is a microcosm of what Dwight the person is. No one is perfect (including Dwight) but he comes across as a caring, thoughtful happy human being.
That's what iverson, pippen, Holyfield, Tyson, deuce Mcallister, Latrell spreewell and mc hammer said plus a whole bunch more you might not know that well
