Really? i thought it was more of Harden 16 points in the 4th quarter. Or Lin holding MVP candidate Tony Parker to his lowest scoring output for the season. Or Dwight's plain awesomeness lately. Chandler Bang was also great. Jones held his own and showed toughness.

But seriously the bench tonight should return their Xbox and Rolex, they were just terrible. Asik should stop being a Grinch and man the fck up.

You are assuming that Lin and Harden can produce the same way when Lin is coming off the bench. This has shown not to work because it made it easier to for the opposing team to lock down on one play maker, making Harden and Lin work harder with their respective rotations leading to less efficient plays by both.

It will be up to the coaches to make a rotation that works with the players in their respective roles.

Looking at this game again and the season so far, Morey really should have went after Bellineli aka Italian Ice aka Spicy Meatball in the offseason. Would have took a lethal weapon away from the Spurs while getting a good back up for Harden. Also it seems Bellineli just always goes off on us.

Felt like we got a hard fought win against the Spurs team and the refs. Good Christmas win.

Starters really stepped up. The bench gets B- or C grades. Our bench would be different if Beverly and Asik were healthy.

    Harden sports some winning socks!

    Merry Christmas!

Clutch, I respectfully disagree that Beverly "consistently brings defense" and I also feel that Lin's improved defense this season has been underrated. For example, Parker scored 13/27 for 27 points on 11/30/13 against the Rockets when Lin was out. Today, Parker scored 3/11 for 6 pts with Lin defending him. Furthermore, defensive stats for the season usually show that Bev is only a little bit better then Lin defensively. IMHO this is because Bev usually sticks to his man only, whereas Lin also tries to help with team defense a lot.

Today, George Karl just said "Lin's defense on Parker is a major story in this game."

This statement hurts. Event though I will leave if Lin is gone, I rooted for Rockets with all my heart tonight!

Our team played well. I don't care if it was the starters or the bench or if the player has legions of incredibly dumb fans, the rockets were awesome and showed the spurs up in their building.

Just like dream did Robinson .

It does. It isn't only the scoring. It is the efficiency and involvement and it goes throughout the game and his steals and leading fast breaks revs up the other players. Lin, initiates and rewards players for getting to spots by often getting the ball to them. He has solid court vision. It is a better flowing offense when he's in there and actually touches it and Harden and him playing off each other is a thing of beauty. I don't know or care what decision the head coach makes later but I've seen enough of Lin with the starters now to see the big difference he makes with the starters.

I heard the same quotes in last few games. Good to see his creativity in speeches is the same as his coaching.

McHale challenged Jeremy Lin to defend Parker. "I just said, ‘Jeremy, you got to go out there and battle. You have to win your battle.’"
— Jonathan Feigen (@Jonathan_Feigen) December 26, 2013
