The entire evolution of defense - by which the pistons are mediocre by comparison, as you unhappily found out - is premised on denying access to the paint "to 2.9" Easier access to the hoop? No. It's the opposite.
And he doesn't give a damn about it. Since he's won a ring he has played with no pressure and I just love it. Wish KD could have the same feeling.
I meant avoiding contact because he doesn't consistantly post up. But your "save wear and tear theory" is cool, it just gives less credence to your LeBron defensive hand check advantage theory... because he might "save wear" in that facet too.
So you're going to assume I'm lying, be too lazy to research simple stats, then tell me to shut up? Expected more from a 2003er, but do you.
Oh god, u just don't get it...i really have to spell it out to you like a grade 1 pupil...i keep telling u the game has changed now to a perimeter oriented game compared to the post oriented game. Ur stat of fg % comparison that u showed does not mean squat because scoring predominantly came from the post which yielded higher % while today its perimeter oriented that incorporates a lot of 3's. Here is more reading for u http://nbadraft.net/forum/now-i-hav...king-rule-and-myths-about-competition-mj-face
The most significant rule change is the removal of the illegal defense rule which mandated man to man defense. This benefited the likes of Iverson and Jordan because they could isolate their man and the other defenders couldn't sag off without being called for illegal defense. the illegal defense rule favors isolation play. with the removal of that rule you can have the ultimate double team: One player sticking to the offensive player on the perimeter and preventing an outside shot while the second defender waits for a charge in the distance. This would have been impossible with the mandatory man to man defense rule.
If the removal of illegal defense is so great, why are perimeter players producing at an all-time high?
bron's shooting % is the most overrated stat ever. he just doesn't have that natural scorer's mentality. this only means bron is more efficient and smarter player than say prime kobe. just watch bron play. dude has a luxury not to force any of his shots. he just let the game come to him. and he can do that because he has such a great team around him. guys like kobe or jordan shoots no matter what. they would chuck until the ball goes into the hoop. kobe's been doing that all of his career. dude just shoots bad shots too many damn times. but it doesn't mean he is a bad shooter. bron on the other hand, is smart and he never forces thing. he is not a shoot first guy. is bron a better shooter than kobe? helllllll no.
Kobe was playing with the goal to entertain fans as well, I just love the incredible shots. LBJ now play with NO goal to entertain fans at all, just to get his high PG%, get the win, get the ring, nothing about entertainment. I love the LBJ from cavs more, who played with passion, now damn, it's boring, nothing excited to watch him play. LBJ's playing with way less pressure, you can't deny that ****. LBJ just shots when it's easy for them to make shots, ask him to make some incredible shots that would shock the whole crownd first.. can't agree more!
shoot first is overrated. give me the guy who can drop 20 to 30 a night efficiently and consistently than a guy who needs 30 shots to get 30 points.
You're lying, and you are dumb. This is the truth. Do you really want to chase the dragon of 1999 little girl? She is a fickle b**** and will roast you alive, clown pants. You let me know.
his shooting % are crazy i often wonder if LeBron had prime Kobe's ballhogging mentality, could he score 100 points in a game with how efficent he is
because the zone clogs the point. defenders are guarding zones therefore leading perimeter players open. In both defense and offense, tactics and cohesiveness of the group as a unit is key. The players have to play as a team both on offense and defense. Read what the other team is doing.
