Young master Jack Osbourne, who has openly enjoyed dabbling with pot and booze, has checked himself into a detox facility in Southern California. Last Wednesday, the 17-year-old offspring of noted wild rocker Ozzy Osbourne entered Las Encinas, a detox/rehab facility in Pasadena, to deal with his addictions. "Jack made a realization that he needed to make some changes in his life and he needed help. He went to his parents, who had been encouraging him to make those changes. He has checked himself into a detox facility with the full support of his parents," said the family's spokesperson. "Here's a kid who realized he had a problem and took it upon himself to go to his parents. That should be the moral of this story. This should be looked upon as how families need to work together," concluded the rep. Jack and sister Kelly, 18, found instant fame when MTV cameras began trailing rock's royal family on a 24/7 basis for the network's hit series The Osbournes. Older sister Aimee refused to take part in the reality series. Even as Kelly spawned her airtime into a moderately successful debut album and Jack used the venue to promote himself as an A&R man, the pressures of living under a microscope reportedly caused him to suffer from depression and insomnia. Ozzy, who has publicly battled drug and alcohol abuse for decades, also cracked under the pressure when Sharon was diagnosed with colon cancer. Last November, the 54-year-old rocker went on a bender while his missus was laid up--Sharon has since been declared cancer free. But the damage was done, and Sharon admitted to regrets about living life in MTV's fishbowl. And the family isn't done jumping through boob-tube hoops yet. Though The Osbournes--MTV's highest-rated series--saw a ratings dip in its second season, the reality show is back with 10 more original episodes airing on the music network this June.
Geez, who didnt see this coming? It is said by some that a person would be more likely to get addicted to substances if a parent is also that way, and we all know that Ozz has been addicted to numerous stuff all his life... Add that to the "Hollywood" lifestyle where drugs and alcohol are as commonly avaliable as soft drinks, and wa-la... Rehab-time... and he is about an irritating little ****..
She is the absolutely worst about of The Osbournes. Especially the 2nd season. I stopped watching the show because every episode seemed to center around her.
Not to go too far off of my own topic, but I think that show is one of the most entertaining things on television right now. It's funny how Ashton Kutscher (sp?) gets all the fame, but the guy Dax (I think that's his name) is the real star of the show. I don't know how the hell he keeps a straight face. Also, I can't believe the nerve of the little kid that they get to pull off some of the pranks, especially when he starts hitting on actresses. He doesn't even stutter! Unfortunately, I assume this is only a one-season show.
Agreed...she makes me grind my teeth when she comes on...I'm like, "go back to what Ozz is doing...forget the chubby little wench.." Ozz is much more entertaining, going around and cooking burritos all day long..and I can't understand half of what he says anymore.. . btw, how ya been? things going good? ...aint run into ya in a while..
wasn't it Dimsie that used to swear up one side and down the other that Kelly Osbourne was NOT fat?
I still laugh when I think about the episode where Ozzy is warning his kids about drugs and what not. Too bad Jack didn't listen, I hate him and kelly though. I just want to take a comb and get that stupid hair of his under control. Then I want to kick his ass because I can, and to top it off, I want to tear off the head of that teddy bear he takes on all of his trips.
I hope he gets some help with his attitude while he`s in there. He comes off as a spoiled brat who cant put a sentence together without using the "F" word. I stopped watching after the first season becuase the focus shifted from Ozzy to the bratty kids
Anyone care to blame the parents? How obvious would that be? I can't watch an episode without wanting to beat the crap out of both of the kids. Therefore, I don't watch it. Osbournes suck.
