Tinman is a pompous windbag and troll, but he is indeed also a respected poster. There is a large contingent that respects his harassment of all the new members, and that support helps him in his effort to make this such a contentious place.

Thanks for actually understanding basketball. The Rockets play horrendous team defense. Lin leaves his man because he's trying to guard the paint and help double. This is something that the Heat and Bulls do all game....we stink at it.

 

Exactly what I saw last night. I tried telling all the girls in the game thread Lin was trying to guard two people and had to choose one, but obviously doesnt work. Lin knows when to switch, but other rocket players have to be cognisant as well.

This x1000. So many posters now throw out the term LOF whenever they want to just win an argument or prove their point over someone else. Majority of people on this board including veterans do this. It's tiring to even read it. People cant just be happy that we have 3 decent PGs to rotate around in situations. Starting or not, Lin and Bev are averaging over 25+ minutes, and most times Lin is playing more minutes than Bev barring all the injuries that have occured this year.

 

Lin was forcing the pass in the paint last night when he should have just taken the shots. I know he wanted to set up his teammates, but if the paint is packed, he needs to either keep the dribble alive and reset or just take the shots. It keeps happening every game so that's something he must work on.

 

The thing is that Lin's fans will follow him whether he stays with the Rockets or goes elsewhere.

What are the chances that Bev's supporters will like him as much if he's no longer competing with Lin for minutes? I'm sure they will stay his loyal fans, just like they stayed loyal to Scott Machado and Toney Douglas.

At least Lin's fans are FOR something. A lot of Bev's fans are just looking for an avatar to pit against Lin.

 

Actually he's worked on that. Earlier in the season he did that less and did some Nash like keep the dribble alive and move out and take short fadeaway shots or reset. He was forcing because he hasn't played in awhile and is out of sync. There's also the other players, it's a communication issue like QB to receiver. If they aren't on the same page, turnovers happen.

 

I respect him so much, I have him on ignore, along with the other idjits. Rockets fansite, haha, it's the only game in town more like it. A fansite that still allows a three letter acronym to depict a whole bunch of posters, that is in itself divisive. Yeah, I know, don,t let the door hit me on the way out.

 

Bottom line all of us should just want all of then players to play well and thenRockets win. I refused to get involved in anymore discussions on who is better on this TEAM. They called me a LOF sometime ago when I was complaining about how McHale might get Harden injured by keeping him in for too long. According to them, I am worried about Lin's minutes and not about this team's chances in the playoffs. What can you discuss with a group of idiots like that?
