I couldn't find a link to McHale's post-game interview, but found a report of it in Chinese. McHale said they tried different things but nothing worked:

　　麦克海尔随后谈到了比赛的最后阶段。“我们投丢了一些球，相反对手命中了一些球。他们投中了几个三分，扩大了比分优势。那样的差距我们已经没有办法追上了。”发布会的最后麦克海尔总结道：“阿隆（布鲁克斯）和林书豪打出了攻击性，试图扳回比分。对手有很多挡拆，我们不得不换防；我们尝试了很多不同的方法来阻止他们，特别是试图让德克（诺维斯基）失去节奏，但是我们没能做到。在比赛的大部分时间我们对蒙塔-艾利斯的限制很成功，虽然他得到了18分，但是很多分数来自罚球。但杰-克劳德命中了3记三分球，文斯（卡特）在比赛中更是命中了一些难度很高的三分。从那时开始比赛就进入了他们的节奏，而我们在很长一段时间里都没能阻止他们。比赛就这样进入了对手的掌控。”

 

How can I trust your interpretation? What if McHale actually said he did a good job of telling Jeremy to help too much and leave the 3pt line open? Its obvious he has an agenda and I have no way of finding out by you posting in Chinese.

 

We lost because of A. We don't have our leading scorer. B. We allowed Dirk to go off for 31. C. Help defense was horrible as always. Either over helping or leaving the helper holding his chicken. D. McHale is gonna McHale.

TBH, HOU never had a chance at CP3. The team was just used as leverage. LAC was never going to let him go.

 

All I can say is they're MAD that Lin's gonna start for the next couple of weeks. Consider all the lost within the next month to be solely on Lin....mark my words it don't matter if Lin drops 50pts a game. Haters will always see what they wanna see.

 

People should re-read this.

You should re-watch before assigning blame. People seem to rush to judgement. Lin did make mistakes and so did the rest of the team.

It's funny how people expect superstar play from their 6th man but not their actual superstar.

I mean you guys want a 20/8 low turnover, great defence from Lin. That would make him the best PG in the league or close to it.

It's annoying as hell losing to the Mavs so it's not surprising people react. But try and be fair in your judgement.

 

Isn't that the truth. The double standard that happens on Clutch. Lin has to play like a MJ or Lebron. Now Kyrie Irving and Walker can't even get their teams to the playoffs but they aren't hated as much?? I wonder why Lin is hated??

Lot of butthurt fans here who are still pining for the way things were when they first joined CF. Get over it. Lin will start over the next few weeks and his fans will continue to cheer his every T.O. Give him another game to get ready, and then expect a stretch of good to very good games from Lin. Mchale will be forced to extend the leash as he has no other option.

 

Saw only part of the game. Does it seem like some on this board were hoping for Lin to fail?

As a fellow Rockets fans who joined for ORIGINAL REASONS,
you know these newbs did not join for the Rockets.

They DONT CARE IF WE LOSE.

They are just roaches.

 

Oh no! I am terribly sorry to voice my opinion because I didn't join clutchfans in 1999. I am sorry I didn't have access to internet back then or just the fact that I was just 10 years old and didn't know much about basketball. For that, I am sorry!

 

if you are happy the Rockets lost, then you aren't a Rockets fan.
if you are happy if the Rockets win, then you are a Rockets fan.

It has nothing to do with when you joined.

And I'm addressing DD, who is a superior fan and legend.

It's annoying. I don't have much in common with your opinions but there are people who seemed to be happy the Rockets lost when Lin was out. There also seem to be people happy now that the rockets lost with Lin as a starter.

Both are equally idiotic.
