If Bev were playing we wouldn't be giving up wide open threes every possession.
This should have been a blow out.

 

couldn't stop Nowitzki, Lin letting guys wide open hit 3s, Lin also missed 4 FTs. got to admit it was a bad game for Lin. I mean missing FT , there is NO excuse for that.

 

only McHale would switch his PG to guard Dirk.

 

we were lacking more than that

McHale is fully exposed by good opposition coaches. Not surprised at all we saw Lin or Dirk, AB on Dirk, and Garcia on Dirk is down right the most stupid matchup by designed.

 

He played a big part in momentum.

Dallas was getting hot and he just jacks up two shots. Guys like him and Cassipi need to learn their damn roles. If you are not Harden, Howard, Parsons or even sometimes Lin when he is hot, you have no business jacking up shots.

 

At this point I'm chalking it up to the coaching staff's defensive philosophies. We see it with a lot of our players, not just Lin. Happened last season too. Constant help D coming from one pass away, almost always from the 3 point line. Help prevent penetration and hope that if a pass is made, they'll miss the shot. Last season though we got a lot of fast breaks off of long rebounds from missed 3s, this season not so much.

When the game is close you need one. Rockets struggled to keep up

yep, terrible defense.

I HATE our defense. HATE. The rotations are slow, unsure. Hate the switching that puts Lin or Brooks on Dirk over and over. And Lin's line looked ok tonight, but he played like crap. Everything looked awkward, no flow. No chemistry at all. Dwight kept us in the game. We need a backup SF.

 

Casspi and Garcia add little on defense; and, if their 3's aren't falling...then they add almost nothing on offense either. A combined 6 points in like 40 minutes of play!

 

defense sucks. I understand offense for read and react. I cannot understand how you defend with read and react. When it comes to defense, you need to have the proper set plays and defense rotations.

This isn't the first time McHale is out coached, this won't be the last.

 

We have tons of talent.

But our coaching sucks.

We only used 8 players tonight that is if you will count brwer's 7 minutes. Lol

And we are left to wonder why are we so injury prone this year.

The answer my friends is SHORT ROTATIONS.

 

what about 6 points total points from Casspi and Garcia ---you pick one play from a game to judge the loss. Lin had 20 points in his first game since his back injury...please stop!!!
