    Hell no!

He was simply ranked 6th in both Off, Def and Net ratings in the table, and I only cited first 5...

Right now he's already up one spot to 5th in NetRtg, slightly passing CP...:)
(But of course actual ranking means nothing when they're so close together at 6.5 & 6.3).
Rockets are nicely and firmly packed with 8 players over 5.0 points in NetRtg, from Asik-5.0 to Casspi-10.8

    Hi Aus!
Yes, sure I have an agenda - I clame that Casspi, my countryman, is not a bad defender.
(And that the Rockets defend exceptionally well when he's around)

Oo that makes sense, maybe as a suggestion their should be a conclusion at the end that states that to help the readers out.

I have been a huge fan of what we have got out of him, after watching him in the offseason play for Israel I thought he sucked, but man has he impressed me how well mchale and co have groomed him into a Strech four that demands respect and can beat most 4's off the dribble. His transition game still sucks but his half court game has been exceptional, way to many CF'ers give him a hard time for no reason, he is a peice that title contenders have

I totally agree with you. He still is a very good acquisition and I don't believe for a minute that either Morey or McHale have any second thoughts about it. Besides, I thing he is developing all the time when he gets used to his new teammates. His passing game in the Pistons game was outstanding. Before anything else I like the fact that he shares the ball and keeps the ball moving.

Casspi had a really bad shooting night against the Pacers, but everybody had. I don't think that he would have shot some of the bricks if the game had been close. He was just trying to get something going. I don't want to get into deeper stats analysis, but I believe in stats. People should remember, stats gives you the answer only to questions you are asking.

However, if the take the simple +/- column, it will tell you what the scoring differential was when this guy was on the floor. If you want to believe that his teammates are playing harder just to make this guys stats look better, so be it. Keep him on the floor, because the team is doing better. It is totally irrelevant, if the guy is playing against the starters or the bench. If the bench keeps the scoring differential positive. it is up to the starters to win the game.

So +14.6 'shared the lead' with +14.1, and with +13.0, and with numbers all the way down to +10.0. As a matter of fact, as long as ANY player who had above the team average of +9.9 was "sharing the lead."

It makes so much sense now.
Let me understand this: you are saying ANYONE who plays high amount of minutes, his ratings will reverted back to team average?

Haven't you forgotten that LeBron actually 'shared the lead' in NetRtg (+14.1) with Chalmer (+14.6) and DID NOT revert back to team average (+9.9) as by your so called hypothesis. So which one is true for LeBron?

    1. Played long minutes and "pulled his ratings" toward the team average, or

    2. Played long minutes and still "shared the lead."

Oops, never mind, I forgot that a rating can be slightly above average AND still leads the team.

That won't be necessary. I will have mercy on other CF members.

    Sorry bro -
No way I'm joining the fight you're picking.
Too old and cold-tempered for that...
I'm still glad I explained it. Perhaps someone else found it helpful.

Yes but Casspi has came back down to earth recently, he was playing way above his average for the first 15-18 games or so, so this stats are a bit inflated. On the other side of the coin, Howard struggled in the beginning of the season (or the team struggled with involving him) and now he's having monster games. So at the end of the season it all levels out so we have to wait and see.

casspi and a healthy lin (if he can keep up his shooting %'s) are the making of a championship bench.

He's hasn't been exceptional in any way. He's been average. However, average is the minimum you want from a backup, so he is getting the job done.

ORtg and Drtg are team stats. Putting individual players to these data just means how the team does when the said player is playing. It says nothing about who he is playing with and against.
