I have not seen anyone in the league grab rebounds so effortlessly. I mean, balls just happen to fall in his hands......a lot.

Assists and fast breaks are fun and all, but in the playoffs, you need someone like D12 to dominate on both ends of the floor. If we want the ring, we need to keep getting Howard the rock. Let him be a dream wannabe. Let him pretend to be Yao and shoot some midrange jumpers.(give him and only him the green light) We can pretend we are the Nash era Suns all we like, but in the playoffs, we go as far as D12 takes us.

Harden and Lin needs to improve off the ball skills. They need to swallow their pride and start imitating Parson's game. :grin:

 

Howard's post game has tremendously improved. Dont know if Mchale is giving him more personal lessons, bc Hakeem is yet to really teach him stuff this year. People have mentioned that Hakeem only gets back to houston in February. Who ever is teaching him now is helping a lot. He is no longer hesitating with his moves. He is facing up well, spinning in, and being a force at the rim. Last night shows us all in Houston, that if the Rockets can get a true post game from Dwight, we really have a true shot at the title in the next 3 years. Finally, if Howard can develop any sort of jumper, He becomes an unguard-able big. He becomes too quick for tall players and too strong for Average centers. Go Rockets!!!

I dont uderstand why they stop giving the ball to dwight in the low post againt the pacers..

 

You could see that if we just had plays for him. But he sets 100 picks on a game but coach can't help him with one to get a deeper position.

That's why we look great against elite defensive level.

 

Because good defenses will try to deny him the reception. Good offenses are prepared for that and have preestablished plays to induce defensive movement and ease his reception at a good position, the spacing and overall, the post play.

The Pistons deliberately let Andre Drummond went 1-1 against him to let him play through it and learn from the mistakes. Same with when Monroe was guarding Dwight.

Not trying to take anything away from Howard, but that Pistons frontcourt looks surprisingly soft. Monroe and Drummond seems to need a few more years to figure themselves out defensively. As someone high on Monroe, twas disappointing to see.

Regardless, kudos to Howard for taking advantage.

 

DWIGHT made them look soft...when true masters do something then it looks easy...they didnt look soft in the win against hibbert a couple of nights ago...
