I don't fully trust him either, he's still a work in progress. Don't fully trust his FTs yet either. Just hard to say mostly luck when he shot 13-18 FG... against a pretty good defender too.
You throw around terms like "elite offensive player" and "proficient post player." How many elite offensive players are there in the league? Better question, how many elite offensive post players are there in the league? Being proficient and being elite are 2 different things. And Dwight most certainly fits the bill as a proficient post player.
I've always understood "aren't anything to sneeze at" as a figure of speech meaning that they are formidable.
The major difference i've noticed in Dwight's post game is he's been spinning and making his moves towards the basket as opposed to away from the basket. Early in the season he was doing hook shots from 10 to 12 feet away from the basket, now i feel like hes been slowly getting closer and closer to the basket, negating the need to use touch, something he isn't very good at. If he completely scratches out those far hooks that he rarely makes and keeps on making moves towards the basket as opposed to falling away, his effeciency will increase. Keep an eye out for this in future games.
perhaps so but the same can be said of Harden...and between the two isos i always like more Dwight iso....
