It's just racist thing when white coach does not play DMo.

I disagree with that. I think both players just need seasoning. They make young mistakes.

This is not the team for guys to get "seasoning" and "make young mistakes". This is a team attempting to compete for a ring.

Once again, Jones is getting plenty of "seasoning" tonight. He is getting flat blistered by West and Scola and we are L-O-S-I-N-G the game, which mean another notch down on the playoff ladder, more likely losing homecourt advantage in the second round, and the odds pile up against us making the Finals.

That's the way the cookie crumbles when young players are getting "seasoning" and "making mistakes".

Give it up. Jones is not a championship team rotation big at this stage of his career. You can argue all day long that he will be some day. But not today and not likely next week, next month, or in May.

Attempting to compete for a ring? Sure.
Look at our record. We are 5th place. We are nowhere near contention.
We fight for HC that is all we can do for now.

A stretch 4 would GREATLY improve this team. Jones hasn't been cutting it. I don't know if he was overacheiving in a couple of games or what..but something has got to change.

I am really starting to think the coaching staff and the players are not completely on the same page. Lack of effort...

That is more worrisome than a couple of bad games by Jones.

The whites really resent Euros for their high skill level. At the same time, whites think of themselves as superior in terms of motor.

    I disagree.

I think if jones gets consistent minutes all the way to the play offs he will be better and know his role more. We don't have anyone on offense that sets people up for good shots. Harden is not that guy. He plays dumb too often and he has a scoters mentality and not a floor general mentality.

If you look at the top teams they all have a player (or players) that handles the ball and makes exceptional passes in all kinds of situations. We don't have that guy. We have Howard in the post, harden ISO, harden pick and roll, garbage points and hogwash.

Our role players/shooter are almost always catching the ball and either having to create their own shot or shoot a very tough contested shot. Chalmers, battier, sefalosha and even ibaka to some extent...they have guys helping them get easier shots. Easier plays to make. Spurs have Parker and ginobli...clippers...blazers...warriors....

I think if you put some of our role players (jones included) on other teams with true playmakers and distributors or systems, they'd be much better players. Throwing the ball to jones and constantly asking him to handle the ball is a failure.

I really don't think they are as bad as they seem at times.

He wasn't even playing aganst scola. He didn't fare well against west, but that's not a bad thing in his 1st go around. Its crazy that you think this team is ready from top bottom, their not. Ryan anderson, spencer hawes are the same type of role players, just older. The rockets are getting better production out of jones than any of those teams got out those players their 1st or 2nd yr. Howard just made 28 and harden is 24,so tell me why they don't have time again? Chalmers played,so did derek fisher. Robert horry, sam cassel did the same.

Maybe we should have called up James Johnson instead of the Grizzlies

It's crazy that you think that I think this team is ready from top bottom. Because I don't. That's my point. I don't think we are ready because TJones is not good enough.

Ryan anderson, spencer hawes are the same type of role players, just older.

No, they're not. Anderson is an elite shooter from 3. And Hawes is a very, very good shooter from anywhere on the floor. TJones at best is an unproven shooter who is terribly inconsistent and at worst is a player that simply can't shoot very well over the long term.

The rockets are getting better production out of jones than any of those teams got out those players their 1st or 2nd yr.

So what. What does that have to do with us competing for a ring this year?

Howard just made 28 and harden is 24,so tell me why they don't have time again?

What I said was we are trying to win a ring this year, not wait until next year or some theoretical year in the future when Jones has matured.

    ---------------------------------------

On another note, Jones went 2 for 2 yesterday on the 3-ball. Is he turning it around or is this just another blip on the downward side of the mountain? We'll see.

I think it's becoming more and more apparent that D-Mo is not ready to contribute at the NBA level, and T-Jones is at best a backup on a contending team.
