As much as I love Howard, he is far away from Hakeem. Hakeem's footwork, basketball IQ, training methods are unique and acquired from a younger age. Hakeem is one of the best!
The man was just trying to say that Dwight Is getting better in the post from learning from The dream. He does make it sound like he is comparing them But what I got out of this is that he's getting better Much much better!!! Go rockets! Turn up!
That pistons front line usually gives opposing bigs issues yet he dominated all 3 of them . Hakeem would have dropped 50 last night
I think you will see the real progress after DREAM comes back from Africa and is with the team everyday in practice. If we end up keeping Turkey boy past the allstar break we might even see the TURKEY SHAKE!!!
Hakeem faced off against the likes of Shaq, Ewing, and Robinson. Dwight faces off against the likes of Hibbert, Drummond, and Marc Gasol. Enough said.
Is Dwight Howard a bada$$? Yes. Is he anywhere near Hakeem's level of bada$$itude? Not even close. If they could play each other in their primes, Hakeem would abuse Dwight like a Thai street urchin turning tricks. NO ONE could handle Hakeem. He was pretty much impossible to defend against when he was on. You just had to hope he was going to have an off night. I'm sure YouTube can educate you on how truly awesome Hakeem was.
I will say that I am glad to see him working on his game, and his FT improvement has been noticeable. If he continues to put effort into his game I can see him really improving his post game. The talent is there, I think, as is the athleticism. And if he can just remove hack-a-Dwight as a viable 4th quarter strategy for opponents - or at least make them pay for it often enough to make them reluctant to use it - then that will make a HUGE difference. Shaq could never get over that hurdle.
So... What is the usual punishment for threats of physical violence on CF? OP, relax. Start a thread here and people are going to argue with you. It's a fact of life. You are new here, be polite.
No one could ever be like Hakeem because he could step out and guard the point guard on the PnR without giving away a foul. The money 18' The post dominance The individual defence The team defence The rebounding I've never seen his match, and in the era of great centers, he stood out as the great one.
Calling Tinman. Just the right post for him to pop in. A post Jul-2012 poster, thinking a player that hasn't been a Ricket for life or got his limelight in another city, being compared to a former Rockets great. This is treason. Oh wait, it wasn't related to Jeremy Lin so Tinman goes back to hibernation.
