I thought it might be in the clear when it calmed down & slept for a while. Then it woke up, ate some more and started screaming again. These sounds are horrible garbles, not normal meows, and its stomach is hard as a rock.

And i definitely let it eat too much. It just still eats like it's starving to death. But nothing's coming out!

It's constipated. Oil up your fingers and start the poking.

The cat needs to be taken to the vet. What part of town are you in?

The Cat Doctor is where you should go if you can.

It's probably full of hairballs. You can try some hairball remedy.

I locked it in the laundry room with the doggy door panel off, and now this morning it's seemingly gone.

This probably isn't over, so if it shows back up, I'll just see if animal control will pick it up. Among the three shelters near me, none are "non kill" anyway.

It showed back up last night. Someone else around here might have tried to keep it until they figured out how messed up it is. I'm not sure its problem is physical any more, because its digestive system seems to be functioning properly now, and it can calm down & seemingly be happy, shut up for a little while, play etc.

I really think it has severe mental r****dation. I've never seen a cat this dumb, and it just doesn't make typical cat sounds. You'd have to see it to understand, but something is just off mentally. Way, way off.

    :(

He may have had a physical problem that affected his voice. We adopted a cat that was part of a feral litter and lost his mother. He has never meowed normally.

Our cats have been really good pets. Once the cat views you as his caretaker, he will love you forever. You should consider keeping him. If you have never owned a cat before, you should read about how to play with them and take care of them.

Also, he will need to see a vet for a routine exam (to make sure there isn't anything wrong) and to have any ****s he may need.

Don't forget, cats get rabies at a higher percentage than dogs. Make sure to take it to a veterinarian as soon as you can!

Gonna disagree here. Cats hate their owners and only hang around for food. All cats are evil unlike dogs which show true affection to anyone who takes care of them no matter what.

not true. I see what you're saying, and you might be right about 90% of the time, but I know plenty of cats love their damn owners.

a buddy of mine got a cat about 2 years ago, and we swear the damn thing must've been a dog in a past life; it's never pissed off, let's you rub it's belly (which never happens with cats), and just purrs 24/7.

I've had a couple dogs, (and cats), and I'd take a dog over a cat, but the big difference is that dogs are stupid, and cats are smart. The dog's highlight of the day is when you walk in through that door, while a cat's is when you walk out.

I'm not sure why, but the transition from the first to second paragraph made me lose it lol.

So true, which is why I prefer cats. I've had dogs and I couldn't stand all the barking and running around. Cats fit my personality better, just chilling around the house.

Gonna have to disagree with you here. Dogs are whores and basically love anyone. They have no social IQ at all and invade people's personal space all the time. Cats are I dependant, but if a cat picks you as his your his for life. You sir know nothing about cats.

They pick you to scratch you and punish you for life. If you want to call dogs whores then let me refer to cats as the psycho b****es of the world who burn your house down and then call you a month later to get back together.

This isn't always true, although I have thought this most of my life

My girlfriend has a dog that acts like a stereotypical cat and doesn't give a **** no matter how much any person loves him. But I adopted a cat who would sit on my porch everyday that acts more like a dog. Extremely needy and wants ton of attention and acceptance more than anything else
