The Cavs are pretty deep at big men they didn't need him.

Bringing up his statline at this point is pointless it's clear that he barely sees the floor

You can't even use the T-mac example with Toronto they wanted to keep him but he wanted to leave after proving how good of a player he was.

If you're going to play Swoly-D, you probably shouldn't mis-label Bias as a #3 pick, when he was #2.

I'm now going to play Swoly-D, by doing this: :p

The problem with "keeping a player with potential" is that you're actually paying for the dude, you spent a pick on him and he's taking up a roster space. When he becomes good he actually enters free agency, so if a team pays for him down the line they didn't spend anything. So the expectation is with a top 1 pick, he should be able to contribute immediately and be one of the best players on the team, or if not his potential down the line is so immense he's expected to the team's go to guy moving forward. A lottery pick's contract is quite high esp. if he's a top pick, Memphis ended up paying 5M a year for Hasheem Thabeet every he "played" for the squad

You look at it like like an investment, you put in a number 1 pick, what did you get in return? For example, in Thabeet's case we had no problems picking him up because he didn't cost a dime to get, on the other hand Memphis really got burned on that pick because they put in a number 2 pick and they got half a season of Battier in return. If Thabeet becomes a really good player 4 years from now then he might live up to his pick, but for Memphis they already burned a top two pick they could've used for somebody else, namely James Harden.

That might sound weird but I don't really see how else you can label a guy a bust unless it's in terms of value. Otherwise, like what Yung-T said we won't be able to label anybody a bust until he's dead. I mean, is Thabeet a bust? The dude's not even 30, he can still become a defensive force. Is Oden a bust? He might become healthy, and then he'll be a top center in the league. Is Darko a bust? You never know, he might go back to the NBA next season after training in Serbia as the next Dirk except with D.

At least he is outplaying Otto Porter, who the Wiz took at #3.

In fact, only two guys in the Top 10 (Burke & Oladipo) have PER in the double digits.

Shabazz Muhammad, who was a favorite to go #1 before last season, has a negative PER.

ESPN's Chad Ford: Anthony Bennett 'Looking Like' Worst No. 1 Pick in 20 Years

    Anthony Bennett has been terrible.

How terrible? He's apparently the worst top pick in two decades.

Or so cautions ESPN's Chad Ford.

"It's very early, but right now, he's looking like the worst in the past 20 years," Ford explains, via The Plain Dealer's Jodie Valade. "That includes Greg Oden. Oden was injured all the time, but when he played, he at least looked like a No. 1 pick."

Band-Aids can be found down Aisle 2, Mr. Bennett. You're going to need a dozen industrial-sized boxes to dress the wounds Ford inflicts.

Still love the reaction. Good job, good effort, Cleveland.

Wait, how tall is Bennett supposed to be? (checks wikipedia) Battier is supposed to be 6'8" as well, and he dwarfs him in that interview.
