Chandler Parsons as point guard - why not?

    Granted we're only trying this because of Beverley/Lin both being out, but with CP25 at PG you have a HUGE lineup and Parsons (unlike Beverley) forces the opposing point guard to play some defense on the post and the wings.

    PG: Parsons
    SG: Harden
    SF: Casspi
    PF: Jones
    C: Howard

    What do you think about this starting lineup?

    He's terrible at handling the ball.... You may not see it but he is. Turnover prone.

    He is a good ball handler for a sf.... But for a pg, no.

    Probably a bad idea. Parsons can put the ball on the floor well for his size, but he really can't get low enough to keep the ball away from smaller PG's. And he wouldn't have a snowball's chance of defending an actual Point guard.

    Not to mention you'd completely neutralize much of his off ball/cutting game, and that's a pretty significant part of his arsenal.

    Limited minutes? Sure. Regularly? Bad idea...

    His handles aren't good enough. He's too tall to dribble the ball without it likely getting stolen.

    Because of everything everybody's already said, plus defense.

    No way Parsons can stay in front of Paul/Westbrook/Parker

    We've given up on Lin already? 50 plus games to go. I think Lin's height and smarts will work nicely with Howard given some time. I think some of you were expecting a 60 win season. Aren't Lin, Parsons, and Harden all just 24?

    Can't be serious. Parsons can occasionally make a play or two but he does not have to handles to be a point guard.
