    It was obviously about players, seeing as BKN has nothing for picks that the Rockets want. Doubt they would have attempted to try for any of their "names"...

    This is clearly about Asik+Lin+picks for Deron Williams.
    Can't really think of any other possibilities.

    Not shocking. They had concerns over Lopez and Deron in terms of health for some time. Well founded concerns when looking at things in hindsight.

    Unfortunately for the Nets, all they have to trade is stiff contracts and their 2020 and 2022 picks.

    I would expect that the Nets will revisit the Asik trade. They spent a ton to get a load of older players. If they don't make a solid go of it this year, it's going to be a monstrous waste of money.

    Didn't Doc Rockets say something about Paul Peirce? He's a big expiring contract with playoff experience...not to mention they have a poor mans version of Ryan Anderson... Mirza teketovic.

    Williams is still one of the best point guards in the league. Dude has been averaging 18+10 in December. It's a no brainer for us if we can get him for Asik and Lin.

    DW is a very minor upgrade over Lin. And I function only from stats. So I totally agree.

    Call me crazy, but I would still kill to have KG's voice and IQ on this team, back with McHale. He would get so many wide open jumpers with this roster, and he is still capable of A+ team defense for 25 minutes a night.

    Don't think they would give up Deron just yet - he is a big difference maker in teh team player better since he came back. The reason why they might trade Deron is if BKN is now looking to tank lol

    NO! For so many different reasons, not the least of witch is that the guy is a walking physical breakdown. Not to mention the fact that you would be trading a top 7 center and a top 15 PG for a top 15 PG. Offense. Lin first.

    It's a shame the Nets destroyed their roster already. I would have loved for Morey to get in on Billy King's young talent & high draft pick fire sale.

    I'd love to have every other pick they have, unprotected of course. Would be a great way to reload around Harden in a few years.
