My friend wants me to get 'em some Phish songs, I don't know the band at all, only heard like 2 songs. Any suggestions on which songs or albums are "must have" ?

Thanks.

I think Billy Breathes is by far their most non-Phish fan-friendly album.

Don't forget Oysterhead.

Guitar = Phish
Bass = Primus
Drums = The Police

A Picture of Nectar is by far the most radio friendly album they have, very cool, not too weird.

Nectar is my favorite, Lawn Boy is another old but good one.

A Live One is a good bet to get a taste of what they sound like in concert.

bouncin round the room(?) is a good song.

theres also a song i heard like ten years ago that goes like....

" the wheels are the things on your car that make contact with the road...."

as for albums, Billy Breathes, I agree, is a good one to start with.

Ahh Contact.. Great song! I'm a bonafide Phish head.. I've seen 25 shows now.. I guess each person has their favorites.. My favorite albums are:

Lawn Boy
Story of the Ghost
Farmhouse
Picture of Nectar
A Live One
Junta
Hoist

I could probably go on. As far as non-phan friendly tunes go, I really think Farmhouse or Story of the Ghost offer some good radio friendly songs..
