Hopefully he could become a rotation player in NBA one day.

I 100% disagree with your assessment, I see a guy who is desperately trying to fit in and stay out of the way of people instead of playing his game.

Once he gets consistent minutes, I think he will become a very solid starting PF in the NBA.

Right now, he just does not fit.

Mchale gave him a chance at a starting gig, and D-Mo blew it. Trade him to the Bucks for Elyasova.

Just like that time Mchale gave T Williams a starting in one game and he played like booty juice. Unlike Van Gundy and Rick, Mchale be giving bench warmers chances to crack the rotation from time to time. I'll give him major credit for doing this. Diehard fans deserve to see how good/bad the other players on the team truly are.

LOL at the "personal eval" citation change. I find it odd, actually. My reference point has opinions, like any post on a BBS, but it's not completely unfounded. You can go through archives of what McHale and Morey have said about DMo in practice, and much of what I'm saying applies. So, although some of it is my observation, I'm not just seeing "things."

Also, I'm curious as to why you think DMo's time here warrants the Rockets organization to be patient with him. He's had the time and he's certainly been given opportunities to start or contribute with a significant role, and it appears that he has been outplayed from the rotation many of those times.

What makes DMo's situation any different than Carl Landry's? Carl came off of the bench for us. Not only that, but he played as hard as anyone on either team when he got the call from coach to come in. His effort matched his visible passion. And yes, in terms of statistics, Carl Landry produced results.

I use him as a comparison as a young, bench guy that the Rockets were patient with, but UNLIKE Dmo, there was a definitive, visible rationale for the Rockets to give him significant minutes off of the bench, and eventually, into a starting player. He earned it.

You mentioned that DMo just "does not fit." I completely disagree with that. We need a PF that can shoot the ball off of a quick pick and pop set. We need a PF that can spread the floor to give Dwight room to work. We need a PF with size to potentially help on defense from the weak side.

These are all things that DMo COULD be, but quite simply, he isn't pushing for it.

No, I don't know DMo personally, and I'm not in his head. I get that. But former Rockets that were young and in his position certainly approached the game in a much more invested, spirited and focused manner.

I always hope for the best for people, but the Rockets don't owe him any more "time" in the sense that he is adjusting to the NBA game. We're way past that point, and he has regressed.

He is desperately trying to fit in for sure. He is unbelievably horrible on defense. Maybe the worse big man in the NBA.

He needs to go to the D-League for the entire season and maybe return to the team next season. He seems to be regressing and seems to have lost all confidence. Maybe he is working on so many things that he can't put anything together. Who knows?

He is tall; can run well and has a few offensive moves, but his overall game in actual NBA play doesn't even warrant a spot on the roster, except for possible future development. Maybe in three years he can be a reasonably valuable reserve. Jordan Hill's development gives some hope, though Jordan Hill was significantly better at this stage.

While I am very critical of his performance on the court, especially in defense, I can't really blame the guy for not performing as well or wanting to leave. Our system doesn't support him and his offensive skills.

I like DMo and I wish him the best wherever he goes. I think he might get to show what he is capable of when he is in a system where he could get more utilized.

D-Mo is good enough to be in the rotation getting 20 mpg for many NBA teams

Asik is good enough to start for 20+ NBA teams playing 30 mpg+

Their prime is being wasted sitting on the bench.

Can't blame them for wanting to play when they are good enough to play right now.

One's prime comes and goes so if they are "good boys" and doesn't demand a trade they are wasting their youth

As long as these NBA teams don't care about winning. Motiejunas has been bad. Period.

7 footers with post moves and range to the 3 point line are rare. Dmo possesses traits that are hard to teach. Young players tend to struggle on the defensive end, he is obviously no different. He's been bulking up and trying to develop the build necessary for the banging involved in the NBA, the time he was given last year isnt the best barometer IMO because he was raw and underweight, in his limited inutes this year it seems as if he has a better grasp of the game and continues to improve. Im confused at all the anger towards him. It isnt like Jones is a defensive stopper, yet he is adored. Dmo with time will be a very good player.

His trade value is probably very low to zero. Only plus is his size and his occasional hook shot

He is sulking according to reports and not happy, learned that from Asik

He's got to move on from his emotional stuff and get back to working with Hakeem and on his game

    Disappointed in D-Mo.

I'm sure he is a hard worker but minutes are free in this league, you have to work for it.
