We suck. (Simply shocked, shocked, by experienced posters who should know better submitting sentence fragments when the request was clearly for a sentence.)
The Rockets were out every thing, especially coaching. I was wishing Hubie Brown would go down and kick our coach in the butt and take over for the rest of the game. George Karl any one?
30-10 no difference, really. All three times we've faced them since the beginning of the 2012-2013 season they've handled us with ease(regular season play). This game was just a punch in the face, previous meetings were a slap across the face. They own us.
People who think preseason means anything should refrain from expressing their opinions on basketball till they get a clue.
No way. That leads to the question; if we fire McHale...who do we hire? SVG- No because of Dwight JVG- No, despite our defense progressing under him our offense will equally regress. Hollins- Hates analytics won't be willing to work with Morey Karl- Hell no, horrible playoff coach, sticks to favorite vets that suck, has vendettas against players, etc. Nate McMillan- Not much of an improvement over Mchale, certainly not worth paying two coaches worth
Yeah- how did that work out for us last night? Without Lin, this team lives and dies by Harden. We deserved to lose by a lot. Look at the pathetic number of assists we got? Lin could've had that many assists on his own. If we want to play hand the ball to Harden and let him just do his thing, we may beat a number of teams but against the best teams in a playoff series, we are gonna lose bc they will shut him down. If we want to have better ball movement, involve other players in the offense and have another option besides Harden to score, then we start and play Lin heavy minutes. But I would rather both he and Harden both sit and heal up. Who cares if we lose the next 5 games. Hardens "I can play hurt" heroics are only going to come back and haunt us later in the season. Lin's doing the smart thing. (See RG3)
Yeah, his 12 pts, 3 asts with 5 turnovers at 21% shooting, would've been sorely missed against the Pacers... His insistence on taking PG one on one in the first half only to get continuously embarrassed on both ends (how about that easy PG dunk on a ball watching Harden) did wonders for the team's collective morale... It would've been worse without him, clearly.... Harden was second in shot attempts mind you... Meanwhile Parsons gave us 14 pts on 75% shooting on only 9 attempts... just as many as AB who made none... Coach McHale certainly doesn't play favorites here, and holds everyone accountable... Let us not forget his brilliant gameplan, which we're all sure he has for every game... because, afterall, he's the coach... For example having Casspi take seventeen shot attempts (eight more than Chandler) and only make two of them... Insisting to going back to small ball, keeping a useless Garcia out there, after our big line-up had better success (such as it was) against the Pacers.... I would've liked to've seen how this team would've done without an "injured" Harden out there against the Pacers... I would've liked to've seen a little more from Parsons and Dwight... I would've liked to've seen our roleplayers' approach to the game without their 2nd "superstar/lead-by-performance" player setting a tone of scatterbrained, do-what-you-like offense and failing hard at it while going through the motions and slacking it on defense...
