What is the proof of this? A few pictures on the internet? You can find pictures of Lebron and Durant partying too. People have seen like three pictures of him partying and just assume what they want to assume. Well..Harden outplayed Wade and Kobe in matchups last year, does that count for anything too? ESPN also ranked him pretty high too.
You should look through the thread and see if I ever said Harden was better than PG. I've always maintained that they were on the same tier and closer than many here have them. Also that it is silly judging them not on full seasons. This is a discussion for the offseason, otherwise it'll just go BACK AND FOURTH while one guy has a great game and the other has a so-so game etc etc...
My response was to another Poster. At least he didn't jump ship from the Knicks to post here. You can go back to the game thread and post about Melo some more. Of all the superstars in the league of course you had to compare Harden to Melo. What sport did you watch before Linsanity?
Incorrect. All I've done is defend Harden from irrational knee-jerk posts that always come up when he has a bad game. I'm sorry I don't consider "He needs to stop partying." as criticism.
I've SEEN this man out almost every time I go out. The spots I go to are probably not something you would go to, but trust when I say he PARTIES.
It depends on what the meaning of the word "is" is. If "is" means is and never has been, that is not--- that is one thing. If it means there is none, that was a completely true statement.
I've been around since 2003 I wouldn't qualify for LOF. So I'm not going to try to convince you on anything. I'll say this when Harden goes out he PARTIES when Andre Johnson goes out he's just hanging out.
I'm sure the folks on the Olympics committee are not happy about that last photo of Harden wearing an Olympics shirt while partying at a strip club.
While I had hoped that Harden is better (because he's a Rocket), an objective mind won't allow me to make that biased claim because it is simply not true. Paul George is playing at a much higher level, and in my opinion has outplayed Harden since the second half of the last season and especially in the playoff. PG is not only more talented in terms of measurables, but he also has more of a passion for the game. Harden to me is the same player now as he was when with the Thunder, with the difference now being that he has a much higher usage rate as the alpha dog with no constraints. He still plays matador defense, and has limited offensive repertoire (iso, drive, top of the key 3 pointers). Alot of times he's actually net negative on the court, and he can be neutralized by an elite defender. George, on the other hand, has steadily improved since his rookie season. Doesn't really need to dominate the ball and yet can still be effective. He's also much more clutch than Harden, who is a self-anoited hero/savior of the team. Don't get me wrong, both are stars in the making if not already. The question I want to ask is which of the two is a better teammate? IMHO, not only is George a better overall basketball talent, he's also a better teammate who can unite a team behind him. I have never felt Harden is that guy. He keeps things to himself and hardly takes responsibility when the team isn't playing well.
And one more observation on Harden. Next time when watching a Rockets game, try to spot Harden on the court when he doesn't have the ball in his hands, both on offense and defense. Conclusion? He does not get involved and not always in the flow of the game when he doesn't have the ball. He either just stands or watches on. It's as if the ball is a battery, and he will only get charged when he's carrying it, without the ball there is just very little movement from him.

Paul George. Consistent effort and commitment on both ends. He's as young as Harden, if he can commit and improve, so can Harden. George also has a great coach and great complimentary pieces, but the jump in his game is a credit to him.
You should watch the other players too. The only Rocket who is consistently active away from the ball is Parsons, and sometimes Beverley.
