The first couple minute, Harden didn't even touch the ball, and the ball was moving very good. Then Harden got into the action and he just stoppped everything. It was horrendous. I'm going to attribute it to his bad ankle and go to sleep
I agree with the lack of offensive strategies/play sets, but am unsure about McHale. The association is ruled by superstars, and they seem to make the coaching decisions, for example CP3 is usually credited for getting vinny del negro fired. If the Rocket's superstars, namely Harden and Howard, like McHale because McHale allows them to dictate the offense, then I think McHale is pretty much here to stay much to the increasing frustrations of the fans. Rockets can score against the "monsters of the west" like SAS and OKC, but the "beasts of the east" are on another level.
ummmm no, the rockets run NO plays. That is the coaches job to control th stars if cant do that he is the wrong coach.
But how many coaches in the association currently can you think of who actually can control their superstars? I can think of one, and that is Popovich and that is because Duncan and Parker are very coachable. The Rockets DO run plays, but it just seems like the plays usually end up not as the way they were drawn up and the players have to improvise a lot.
Pretty much. Why I don't like the way they play ball on offense. Never did, never will. Metrics tells me ppp,the layups or 3s are the best way,but when that all you have, good defensive teams close out and shut your drive down. Everything the rockets have is a iso play. More importantly is how many open looks they gave up to a not so good offensive team. That's the bigger problem.
You guys realize the Pacers core has been together for 3 years now and this Rockets team has been together for 1? Not to mention Lin and Asik are injured.
Really. In the first quarter. Just like I said. The Pacers had the momentum from then and never relented. Just like I said.
