Exactly. Harden is so much in the Melo mould. I seriously doubt we will win a chip with him developing this way. Someone seriously needs to have a word with him or ship him out before its too late. Package him with Asik and we might be able to get rid of two birds with one stone.

You do know he is 24 and is by far the best player on this eam ith Dwight and he has a ton of improvement in him?. I'm glad you are not in Morey's position.

Melo, to a degree, is a much better player than Harden...so if he couldn't even carry a team far in the playoff I highly doubt Harden can.

Exactly. This is why Houston has a problem....Harden being the supposedly best player on the team. Harden's defensive flaw is just too much to overcome his offensive prowess.

Harden runs the entire offense and he is managing a paltry 21 PER. I'm starting to think I'd rather have Parsons running the offense. Parsons is not a great playmaker but at least he'll keep the boneheaded ISO plays to a minimum.

    BTW Dwight >>> Harden.

I am not a big Melo fan, but at least Melo this season has played with tremendous EFFORT nearly every game.

Melo is a significantly better player than Harden.

With Harden's "work ethic" I don't see a ton of potential despite his age. He may be an All Star, but his ceiling is slightly below's Melos current level.

I think Morey will look to trade Asik and Lin to clear some capspace tp go after the third star. Right now we have two elite players followed by a bunch role players. We need a third wheel.

Lot of problems today, of course, but a major factor, I think, was that Paul George shut down the main (only?) play-maker.

Today, a healthy Jeremy Lin might have made a big difference.

No. The lag of ball movement is why Rockets loss. Sure you can win games with Heroball, just not going to work in playoff. Basketball is a team sport. As soon as Harden and Howard accept that, the Rocket will have a chance. But unfortunate, it is not going to happen until Lin/Asik contract are over.
