ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Pacers 12/20/2013

Referees, our bench, Jones, Harden and Beverley are killing us. It's not Morey's fault that Howard only would sign for the max, nothing much else to do but sign guys to minimum contracts. Garcia, AB & Casspi are basically performing based on how low they are on the salary list.

 

Harden needs to let the game come to him, instead of forcing the issue... stop looking for the assist( and just make the damn pass), stop looking to ref bait and just go up with the shot... these things are his biggest problem... i said it before and i'll say it again.. Harden plays the game like he is on the AND1 mixtape tour

 

I like how Pacers are so physical on both ends…excellent defense keeping Houston to only 45 points; they’re scoring is well spread out; Scola is giving them a huge boost. They’re letting Howard play down low, and keeping Harden quiet. Houston’s starting 4spot is a big worry against good teams, and Houston’s bench right now…uggh.

 

Parsons is the 2nd best player on the team after Dwight

 

Greg Smith played well. I would rather have him in there instead of Jones. He has completely sucked. Just horrible. We are also getting a big fat zero from AB, Casspi and Garcia. Their bench is the difference in the game.

 

Howard and Parsons are the main reason the Rox are not getting totally blown out right now and only down 10. Harden can't allow himself to be taken out of the game so badly by George. Impact the game in other ways, instead he's ball stopping and be indecisive.

 

George also has 5 rbs and 4 asts. Harden has 1 rb and 2 asts.

 

Parsons OK? Parsons is playing very well.

Beverley has been our star player, really running the offense and facilitating well. He must have 5 assists already.

 

bad call on howard for a goal tend and then garcia's blocked layup was a goal tend that wasn't called that led to a break. plus the mugging on the picks and in the paint. we should be up if not for the refs.

 

How many game the Rockets loss with Ref. name Crawford ???????

 

I have no idea what that has to do with Paul George getting the softest calls in the nba, you should probably return to your village though, it's missing its idiot.

 

Greg Smith did play well. He's actually moving around and contesting and keeping guys in front of him for the most part, forcing them to shoot over him. And he's competing hard on the glass.



Guys....if Smith can look this good next to Dwight against a team that plays 2 power guys together there is NO REASON that Asik can't do EVEN BETTER! It's a matter of Asik wanting to do it.

 

George is definitely having the better game so far, but if you just went off the posts in here you would think its a landslide in his favor. Hardly the truth.

We are missing some big pieces. They are at home and aren't missing anyone important. Not lookin good so far, but the game isn't over yet.

 

Yeah, it would be nice to have Lin and Asik and full strength.

Smith seems to be a much match against West compared to Jones.

 

Need somebody off the bench to step up this 2nd half

This team is tremendously talented from top to bottom but there are only two players that show heart and are truly fearless; Parsons and Beverley. Parsons in a major role and Bev in a lesser bulldog role.

It's funny for being the prettiest one on the team, Parsons is far from the most prima dona player on the team. He just puts his hard hat on and does what needs to be done.

 

Or if Lin could play I think. Harden is definitely not feeling right. Maybe he'll go off adrenaline and play well in the second half but physically, he's tracking through mud.

 

You are the one who is seeing what you want to see.

BUT somehow neglected that Pacer is up by 11, PG scored 12 vs 8 by Harden, 4 vs 2 assists, and PG outrebound Harden 5 to 1.
