I'll probably get some heat for this but I don't care. Been extremely good friends with this guy for 20 years now. Hung out a lot, wives are friends with each other as well. About half a year ago, the friendship suddenly just started disconnecting for some reason that I couldn't put my finger on. Conversations got cut short but both me and him. It's like we suddenly ran out of things to say to each other. Weirdest thing in the world. This happen to anyone else? Not looking for solutions, just wanna see if this has happened to anyone else as well.
Maybe he tired of hearing about weird sex murders or how you don't know how to clean your ass in the shower. Just a hunch.
More responsibilities (customers, restaurant business, personal business, etc.) has stopped you from initiating the conversations. Also, he has become more busy or has more friends than just you. It's understandable.
life happens. I've lost touch with a lot of friends, though a lot of it has more to do with being in different cities. As a guy, if you're not around, I'm not going to make an effort to talk to you online or whatnot. That said, if any of the friends I've lost touch with over the years needed me, I'd be there for them.
on a serious note, i've lost touch with old friends for years. one day they'll call me out of the blue to invite me over and we'll talk like old friends again. we'll never go back to hanging out on a daily basis but i think that's understood.
