I wonder of Hinkle is still interest in a Greg smith for a future second round pick since if this trade is true we have to many players.

If the sixers aren't involved and if it is indeed the Celtics he won't have information I guarantee you that.

His information doesn't go past sixers front office discussions.

I'm quite sure Morey promised him a trade before Dec. 19th. I understand that in a vacuum, Morey can force Asik to shut up or keep sitting. But given that GMs need working relationships with agents and players constantly, he had to give in and not hardball his player.

Clairvoyant meh says, "Asik's knee is going to be healed the moment he gets traded to the Celtics."

    Or he knows too much.
After learned that he was going to be traded for Lee and Bass, Omer was so embarrassed that he figures playing backup to DH is more honorable than that and decides to stay.

    Brilliant. Moraaaaaay.

... as long as that doesn't mean that we're keeping him...

There's a few burned out bridges in the rear view mirror here.

I think he has a fetish for undersized CHEAP power forwards. As bad as it is, I think Bass would probably be the best one he's nabbed in awhile, although not so cheap as the others.

I get the strategy. Try enough cheap PFs and eventually one of them's bound to work out. But yeah, he changes PFs like rich women change shoes.

I don't know what you guys are talking about, Bass + Lee + a pick is a great haul. We get the defender/athletic floor spacer we need in Lee and a good defender and solid all around PF for 25m per game in Bass. Would I rather have Turner and Hawes? Yeah, but that draft pick in a loaded class changes things -- depending how much protection it has.
