    I'm sure the Lakers are just inquiring. Not much will happen with it. They are in the need of a PG with Nash being constantly injured and blake out for a while. Linsanity was born under D'antoni's watch and that is the kind of point guard that he covets. This will also enable Kobe to play off the ball which is his natural position not this psuedo point guard crap that he has been relegated to.

    I agree. Are Bass and Lee really worth giving up all of our financial flexibility? I would rather pay Asik to do nothing and go for a star in 2015 free agency.

    If true, then it has everything to do with Les wanting to avoid at least one of the balloon payments.

    holy crap guys this isn't about having the most flippable players anymore.

    this deal satisfies part of that with getting a 1st round pick.


    we have the star level players. Harden, Parsons, Howard, (and Lin in spurts). They are learning the game together, meshing.


    we need great role players. TJones and Bass >>> TJones and DMo

    Harden and Lee >>> Harden/Garcia

    Brewer will get cut. Garcia will stick around for his vet leadership presence and ability to come in and pop 3s and no sacrifice D. but hes too old to be playing more than 25 mins. Courtney Lee can come in and immediately play 30+ a night if he has to.

    Again I ask, what makes his contract untradeable? I get that it is a year too long for us and that 5 mil may be too much for a back up which he would be here, but for other teams on which he could start, why is 5mil/year so bad for him? It seems fair for what he can do.

    Haha. Anyone backing this trade is a donkey. It sucks Asik quit on us, could have been something really good.
    Morey made the best of a bad situation, I guess. He would have much rather Millsap, but despite dillusional posters on here, Asik and the way he has been this season can no way net us anything close to that.

    This team lacks two things.

    Good perimeter defense and a four who can consistently burn someone from 18 feet.


    The Rockets just got two of those in a trade. Why some people expect a James Harden caliber player is beyond me. This right here shows me how good Morey is. The expectation level of clutchfans is suffocating.

    If the Celtics are offering Morey this garbage package, it better include a first round pick of next year's draft, one of the best looking drafts ever - no exceptions.

    I thought BimaThug said it could work. Asik is owed $15 million but it'll be $8 million under the cap.

    I would only want Gasol as a back up Center. Besides, I still believe Gasol and Howard can play. I blame that on Dan Tony for forcing his "system" on them.
