What contract would you re-sign Beverley for?

Hypothetically, assuming Beverley plays out his contract and is a free agency in one and a half years, what contract should Morey offer him?

    $2-4m/yr range
    $4-6m/yr
    $6-8m/yr
    >$8m/yr

What do you think he is worth in the open market?

His salary in the Rockets will not exceed the 2-4 m/yr level. There is not enough cap space for anything else after Chandler gets his contract.

Well just what he's worth in free agency?

If Lin and Asik are both gone, and not replaced with high salary players?

    Just hypothesizing

Two to three million per year. Unless you are Tony Allen, a one sided player won't get a big deal. I would give him three year deal at just under four million.

PatBe strikes me as a guy that will play hard even after he earns that big contract. So, three to four per and worth every penny.

If he keeps slumping whilst starting, he may be gone in a trade.

Otherwise i think 3 year / 8 million with a team option after the 2nd year is fair.

He is worth more than Toney Douglas?

Sure he's playing beyond "previously low" expectations now, but what about later?

    He's a one way player, I wouldn't pay him over 3 million.

Maybe 4 mil depending on his offensive development.

Remind me how many starting PGs have the team changed since Alston? I just don't think Beverley will get paid. PGs are consumable goods regardless of their capability in Rockets' team building philosophy. Once they get worn out/their price becomes too high, they are replaced.

Crazy how we haven't had a franchise point guard since SF3.

I really thought Dragic was going to be the guy.

I don't know how to do one. Would be glad if somebody could do it for me. I've pretty much outlined what the poll question would be.

    2-4
    4-6
    6-8
    >8

My opinion on this isn't that important, but since I started this thread I'll weigh in.

I think this is pretty much the number I had in mind.

Few GMs pay for defense, unless the guy is 6'11 and above.

Perimeter players get paid quite low for defense.

He played his best game as a Rocket 2 games ago against GS. You should try following the Rockets a little more closer:rolleyes:

He will be gone by the begining of next season, either traded or waived.
