Check out what I found on guinnessworldrecords.com

Most TV Commercials Starring Company Founder

Dave Thomas (USA), the founder of Wendy's Hamburger Restaurants, has appeared in a record 652 TV commercials for his company, since April 1989. "The Founder" campaign has won 36 major advertising awards. The shortest advert he has appeared in ran for five seconds and the longest ran for 60 seconds. He opened the first Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburger Restaurant in Columbus, Ohio, in 1969. The restaurant was named after his 8-year-old daughter Melinda Lou, who was called Wendy by her older siblings.

If Mac hasn't been in more than 652 Gallery Furniture commercials by now, he must be getting damn close. He's been doing those things since the mid 80's and it seems like there is a new one each week...

Does anyone else remember the Old Mattress Mac commercials that came on around midnight during Sat. night wrestling? The ones with Paul Boesch.

It is so funny to hear the same two people on Mack's radio ads.

One day they are moving in from Chicago and need new furniture.
Then they are hosting the superbowl and need new furniture.
Then the inlaws are visiting and the need new furniture.
Then the guy turns into a giant and he needs new furniture.

    Too funny.

Oh hell yes. We used to play "Count the hand movements", to see how often he pointed his hand at the camera.

I think the more appropriate thing to say would be "the early 80's". He opened the store in 1981 and began advertising almost immidiately. Most memorably on Houston Wrestling.

I remember Lothario, but only as Shawn Michaels' mentor in the mid 90's WWF. You old guys are giving DoD a run for his money :p ;)

I watched those guys on TV. I remember Wahoo's last match and was stunned he never wrestled again. Or it seemed like it, where his face was all bloodied up.
