Room to spare!

BTW, when I saw Bob Dylan at Verizon Wireless last Tuesday night, he had his Oscar Statue on display on a pedestal behind his piano. Funny shizznit!

I hate Michael Moore just as much as the next guy, but all this controversy is just playing into his hands. If people really want to protest him the best thing to do is to ignore him.

Having said that, a case could pretty easily be made to revoke his Oscar, and I'd support it more if it was led by fellow nominees who made real documentaries and lost, than someone who just strongly disagrees with his opinions.

    Exactamundo.

Don't like what Natalie Maines says on stage in London?
Don't buy any Dixie Chicks CDs.

Don't like what Michael Moore says in his Oscar speech?
    Don't go see his movies.

That's why I will never purchase a Toby Keith CD for as long as I live. It ain't exactly rocket science. Protest using what you have control over...the money in your wallet.

What if you are able to dissociate people from there art, but feel that BFC was clearly not a documentary. Dave Matthews is anti-war, but that doesn't stop me from supporting him. I would think it was unfair if he won an award for best rap album though.

I won't be by any Toby Keith albums either. However it isn't due to anything he said but that his music is crappy.

The Oscar he tours around with is a fake. I guess he keeps the real one at home. Email me and tell me what you thought of the show and I'll mail you a story that will blow your mind. Seriously.

If you're going to take away his best documentary oscar, then you better be prepared to give him the best movie oscar.. because it would have won in that category too.

On a side note, when I went and saw Moore speak at UT a few weeks ago.. as soon as he came on stage he thrust his oscar into the air and yelled "THIS IS THE PEOPLE'S OSCAR!".. he got a standing O.. and then he handed the statue to the people in the front row and said "pass it around!"

    really cool of him.

    haha!

they have a "sample" letter on their website for people to follow in form with, since most of these people are probably too lazy or stupid to write up their own.. how.. lame...

First, it wasn't even nominated for Best Picture. Second, if the academy voter wanted to give him best picture, that would be fine. BFC is in fact a movie. What it is not, is a documentary. It is more like a propoganda film.
