Oh you mean the guy who leads the NBA in turnovers, is almost in the 20's for three point shooting, and the guy who will sabotage a play by walking away from it if he doesn't get the ball?

    That's your playmaker?

Bev would not be starting PG in any NBA team. period.

    Seriously?

I think he'd be a great fit on any teams in which he is not the primary playmaker. Think of him as a cheaper Chalmers.

Main problem is Bev's inconsistent shooting. If he shoots 3 reliably, then he can justify his starting role. With 3&D, he can be a Derek Fisher kind player.

    That's our playmaker.

Beverley is starting because he brings a particular skill set. That's not a reflection on lins ability.

If lin wanted to start then he should focus on the skills necessary to start in McHale's system; protecting the ball, defense and 3pt shooting.

Once Houston got harden the entire fabric of the team changed.

Lin has played well without harden in the line up. But harden is not going anywhere. He therefore has to adapt.

Chalmers numbers are much higher than Bev. Chalmers is averaging 4.6 assists and shooting over 40% from the 3 pt line. Think of Bev as a Chalmers who can't shoot or pass. Bev numbers are closer to Dennis Rodman than Chalmers.

Lol. Yes he does give u good rebounding but its not something we need from the point guard spot. Let the front court do its job and get back on defense.

Im sorry, but it has been shown in a few threads that PG's go off just as much as Bev limits PG's to bad games. Not only that, Bev isn't shooting anywhere near as well as Lin on the Three ball, and Lin actually helps his team by getting these things called assists. Isn't sagged off of to limit the team to playing 4 on5. So please inform me again what parameter "McHale is looking for"?

He can back up Mario Chalmers and Harden is not Lebron.

There is a reason people want Rondo on this team so the ball does not need to be in Harden's hands. They just don't want it to be in Lin's hands.

But Rondo is extremely ball dominant plus a very poor 3pt shooter and off-the-ball player, plus his teams tend to play at a really slow tempo all of which doesn't seem to fit with what the Rockets want to do.

But no, Beverley isn't a poor man's version of Rondo. He is a poor man's version of Avery Bradley with slightly better shooting, worse D and similarly not a good playmaker and cannot run an offense.

At the start of last season Lin was getting plenty of rebounds then he was told it was not his job to rebound and he has to go back to cover, because that is the PG job. Now Bev is chasing rebounds because he has the green light to and someone else has to get back to cover.

Ofcourse without the freedom to hunt rebounds Beverley's pathetic numbers will look even more woeful. Good thing the coaches have made an exception for him then.

Good thing you're in the Rockets locker room every day to give us all of this exclusive information

can't wait for "Lin isn't making plays anymore because the coach told him that's not his job"
