Mario Elie hits another clutch shot!

    Did anyone catch the halftime show of the Game 4 Spurs at Suns game?

    Well, TNT has this thing called "The Rack" and earlier in the night, Elie Racked up 18 points by constantly banking shots of Barkley's head (off the backboard). Hitting the backboard counts for 3 points, where as just using the rim only counts for two. So Elie banked in six shots.

    Mario's 18 was one short of Kenny Smith's record of 19. But Ernie Johnson saw that Kenny through a ball up in the air as Elie was trying for his 7th make.

    So at the objection of Kenny, Ernie gave Mario one more shot to break the record.

    Elie banked it off Barkley's head for 3 and ended with with 21.

    Then he gave the Kiss of Death! freakin brilliant.

    Mario can still shoot the Rock..We should definately give him some consideration on coming back.

    I thought Elie heard that TNT was thinking of moving him to ESPN, so he quit halfway through the segment.
