I think that's fair. I hate coming across like I am not a fan of Bev b/c if you see me at the games, I'm one of the first guys jumping out of my seat when he makes a great play. But sometimes when people just talk nonsense and you have to point out where they are wrong about Bev and in turn it looks like you are criticizing him. I love having him on our team, much like having a Moochie Norris back in the day. He's capable of a fill in start, he plays with heart and energy and he cheers the team on to no end. But he's really not a starting PG in the NBA.

Ha- thanks. It just gets so tiring trying to talk sense on here sometimes. So you gotta get down on their level… :p

Both are ideally backup PGs but Lin has more chances to start in the right situation on some teams either at the 1 or 2 because of his scoring ability.

Yes, Lin was on fire playing off the bench as a sixth man but it only lasted for the first half of the games he had played. People choose to forget so easily he was back to being inconstent before his injury.

Even Clutch tweeted about his drop in 3P slump.

Most Rockets fans already know that only in Rickets system Bev is a starter.

Well, you got a better version of him in Miami. But Harden is no Lebron.

The only good thing about Moochie was his hair and he returned after the Knicks. Stint. The guy hard more cheerleading skills then the power dancers

Another great example of how supporting a pro Lin argument is backed with nice hard facts and the anti Lin statements will be supported by thin air.

All the Beverley detractors think NBA 2k is like real life. Step #1: Acquire a handful of high-offensive-production/high-usage players. Step #2: Play them all the rotation minutes. Step #3: Win Championship; repeat.

Is Bev a great playmaker/scorer? No. Should he be playing over 35 mpg? Probably not. Do we desperately need what he brings? Damn right we do.

And to act like every team needs a high-usage offensive PG to win is not only stupid (considering our team build, and different team builds), but it actually goes against history. Ball-dominant PGs do NOT win championships. Check the past 20 years - the only "star" PGs that have won are Billups and Parker, and both were masterful in getting rid of the ball when there wasn't an ample opportunity to attack.

    Bev "the amazing defender" lmao

More like situational defensive specialist with no offensive game and can't run an offense.

    12/15 against the Kings
    Bev 31 minutes
    Isiah Thomas scored 19 points on 7/12, 58 FG%

    12/4 against the Suns
    Bev 42 minutes
    Bledsoe/Dragic scored 39 points on 13/25, 52 FG%

    12/2 against the Jazz
    Bev 38 minutes
    Burke/Burks scored 42 points on 19/29, 65.5 FG%

    11/30 against the Spurs
    Bev 37 minutes
    Parker scored 27 points on 13/27, 48.1 FG%

    11/20 against the Mavs
    Bev 37 min
    Calderon/Larkin scored 21 points on 7/13, 53.8 FG%

    11/16 against the Nuggets
    Bev 27 minutes
    Lawson 28 points on 11/19, 57.8 FG%

11/13 against the SixersBev 42 minutes
    Andersen 36 points on 12-16, 75 FG%
    Wroten 18 points, 10 reb, 11 asts

Who did the incredible Bev stop?

The incredible Patrick Beverly and his unstoppable defense.

I like how you added up the points of multiple guards as if that somehow makes sense.

Same Lin fans in here talking crap about another player to prop up Lin. What's new?

I must say, this is pretty telling. Bev has been overrated due to high expectations. I don't think he's able to be the starting PG on a championship team.

It kind of a joke all these new posters who joined the last 1-2 years attacking members who have been here 10 years simply for stating the fact that Bev is a scrub and that Lin is a decent starting PG who should start when healthy and Bev should be a defensive specialist against small/fast PGs.

There are a few trolls, but no one is truly "anti Lin" this board. Linconsistency wasn't "thin air".

This list doesn't even count games Bev played back up minutes, was injured, or was simply mediocre on both offense and defense.

Bev has this false reputation as a great defender when he is nothing special.

Everyone knows Bev is poor on offense, and can't run an offense either.

His D gets so hyped it's beyond ridiculous.
