LOL..... the Nets tied their franchise to DWill, they're not getting rid of him less than halfway through the season. If anything they let KG and Pierce walk and start from scratch with DWill and Brook. What does getting Lin and Evans do?

I want Lin in the Lakers, Chicago, or Portland as their 6th man. Portland unlikely, but its probably more possible he'll end up in like Toronto or Utah. Don't think its just me but seeing how Lin is playing 15-20 mins and now 0 is just flagS for a super trade coming because Asik himself isnt enough. Maybe a 3-4 team package.

Qft. I am in ny so i hear hahn quite often. He is a writer fir newsday, which is owned by the knicks. He does spot radio hosting on espn radio through its partnership with msg radio, again owned by the knicks. Its like hes deliberately obtuse on the basic details of lins contract. You should hear him last year going on and on about how lins third year would push the knicks into luxury tax hell. Of course he ignores the fact that the knicks are in luxury tax hell with or without lins contract.

Wait, you actually think that we can contend?!

    HAHAHHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

We are long way from contending the way things are. The current Rockets is moving closer to the role of Nuggets back when Melo was there.

Dwight isn't "thrilled" with PG situation.

Lin will play for the Bucks

No way we move Lin.. bad thing about "poison pills" is you kinda lock yourself into the player unless they go off and become a badass.

more likely if he's moved, it'll be to a bad team, or a team with cap space to use like the ones mentioned toronoto or utah. LA is trying to rebuild with big time players and lins 15 mil next year is going to hurt on picking up others in the offseason, same with portland or chicago.

$15M in salary has NO impact on the Lakers. Of all teams they can go the deepest into the Luxury Tax due to their Three BILLION dollar TV deal. The only thing the Lakers will care about is the Cap hit.

The question is whether they want the $8.3M in cap hit. However, you can't really get a decent PG for much less than the $6-8M range without a serious drop in talent at the position unless you can swing a trade for someone on a cheap contract, but that would require giving up some assets in a lop sided trade.

$3-4M gets you Raymond Felton or DJ Augustin.
$6-8M gets you the average to above average tier of PG's.

Yes, the current Rockets without Lin and Asik playing will not contend. With them, yes.

They better trade for a point guard, then. Bev is adding little or nothing to this team right now. I'm getting sick of these 2 of 8, 0 of 3 from deep, 2 assist games; and Isaiah Thomas still scores above his average against Bev's "legendary" D. Ship Asik and Lin out for a star point guard; someone who can actually run the offense.

With everyone healthy, yes, we are a contender. Please reference the thread I made for details on why I believe this to be true.

Since that thread, we have been riddled up and down our line-up with injuries, so...NO to whatever else you have to say.

I disagree. We need more players like lin who can create their own shots.
