Suns just won by two on Jake Voskuhl's jump hook, 86-84. Did anyone think that this series would be this competitive?? I'm shocked that the Suns are giving the Spurs this much trouble, but I gotta give them props for their work. I have to give Marbury credit, cuz I used to think he was very overrated but he's proven himself in this series as a leader.

I still think Spurs will win, but I don't think they imagined they'd have this much trouble with the Suns. And that's also because Amare has been a virtual non-factor. Amazing.

I find it hard to believe that SA won 60 games and set those road records this year...they just don't look that good.

i think the Spurs made a big mistake setting the play-off roster...

they have 2 C... david robinson (the wimp) and kevin willis...

they should have at least one more.. like mengke bateer.. it's obvious they need another big body who can rebound.. coz tim doesn't want to play C...

can't believe parker palmed the ball in such a crucial situation. he needs to watch steph and iverson to learn how to avoid those palms. Its a good thing the ref called it, or they might have accidentally let the players determine the outcome.

Malik Rose also made a crucial mistake when he tried to take that charge on Voskuhl. Who does he think he is, planting his feet firmly outside the restricted area, taking the contact, and falling to the ground? An obvious blocking foul there.

Well, the Suns play like this ALL THE TIME. They never give up! Never.

The Rocket should learn from them.

We've giving up in the 3rd quarter lots of times.

By the way, I knew the Spurs were in trouble when with 10 minutes left in the game they where only up by 10 points (68-58).

The Spurs were being lazy. You could tell they thought they had it won.

It was the Spurs that lost the game (they gave it away).

It's not like Amare is ever a factor to determine Phoenix's win/loss anyway.

malik rose's charge could be considered questionable, but he was there kinda late and it was the sun's homecourt. incredible that both the suns and the twolves have made series out of it when most people were writing them off at the start of the playoffs. nothing but props to both of them.

Gimme a break. That was about as bad as palming can get.

and yet, a palming violation has never been called in the last 2 minutes of a crucial playoff game.

refs normally let players get away with murder in the closing minutes of a game, just look at shaq.

That's true...but the Suns usually need him to play well in order to have a shot at winning...he is their only inside presence, so he needs to be the 13/8 overrated player he was during the season.

Ya know, one would consider the ROY would be playing better...Drew Gooden is makin Amare look bad. Even HE's making a case that he was more of a candidate for ROY than Amare. Notice how defenses do not care about Amare...I guarantee defenses would be focused on Ming (of course, that's a moot point considering Ming is watchin and not playin :( )

Stoudamire has speed, explosion, and amazing brute strength, but outside of that he has no offensive moves.

Spurs fans complaining about officiating in this series, what a joke. Game 1 was almost handed to them (blantant TD offensive interference in the late 4th, about 3 other late regulation calls all going the Spurs way). Further, TD gets the benifit of the doubt on most all close plays and every single game of the series the Spurs have had more FTs and fewer fouls called on them--sometimes by a wide margin (average around 8-10 more FTs per game).

No question the reffering has been stilted towards the Spurs.

I'm a Spurs fan and I have no complaints about the calls a few were missed both ways. Welcome to the NBA. Only BS game I've seen so far was the Lakers - Mavs game 3.

BTW desert scar whining about game 1 officiating is total BS too.
