It's not so much the fact that Rondo wouldn't help the team as it is the laughable hypocrisy of some people who go from this:

    "Champions don't need star PGs!"
"Harden has to be the main playmaker on this team no matter what, even though the team looked brilliant last year when he and Lin both had playmaking duties!"
"We already score a ton, so we don't need another scorer in the starting line-up!"
    "Lin can't be the starter because he doesn't have a Nash-like 3-pt%!"
"We need a lockdown defender who doesn't need the ball!"
"Harden is a ball dominator and he needs the ball to be at his best!"

    To:

"OMGZ superstar Rondo! Forget everything I said before! ***** that Beverley scrub!"

Trading Lin for a PG in return (similar PG to Lin lateral move) would probably be the best.

Lin fans will be happy for Lin to leave this coaching staff and the short leash.

Lin haters will be happy to be rid of Lin and go hate on him at his new team. Trust me the haters will follow Lin like the Lin fans to his new team.

Rockets fans who only cares about winning will be happy too because then we can finally start the new PG and relegate the no Offense, inconsistent Defense Bev to the bench, playing 10-15 mpg till he develops his game more, where he belongs.

    WORD is out!!!

Pau Gasol trade is imminent for the Lakers. Gasol and Dantoni are feuding publicly in the media. Gasol is as good as gone.

Lakers would do a Asik/Lin swap for Gasol/Blake.

    Everybody wins!!!

Rockets get Gasol to complete the starting five and Oneonthe best 3 and D players in Blake who can actually somewhat run a offense.

Lakers get Lin to fill in for and back up Nash. Lin is the perfect point guard for Dantoni's system and they get a high quality center in Asik to build the defense around.

This is the perfect trade for everybody!!!

I think the Rockets are hiding Lin because they intend to keep him. Why else pull him so often when he just seems to get into a rhythm? I actually thought the Rockets were showcasing him at the end of last year when he got to handle the ball more down the stretch and really upped his stats. No other team took the bait. But then he improved enough early this year that the Rockets have now decided to keep him. Weird things happen in Moreyland, but this is true in every organization.

That's true. And that's the LOFs' problem, not mine.

My issue is we can really do with an upgrade for starting PG and head coach.

And it doesn't have anything to do with Lin (for me at least). But just the amount of people who feel they need to defend Beverley and McHale at any cost because they dislike Lin/LOFs when these two issues (better coach and better starting PG than Beverley) 'should' be mutually exclusive issues is just beyond laughable.

    Just like your response.

The Rockets PG situation and head coaching situation shouldn't have anything to do with LOFs, but look at your response. Exactly what I'm saying. Thank you.

Starting PG. How does Mr. Steve Blake sound to you.

Now either you are completely delusional, or a complete tool if you believe that. Thanks for the laugh.

And congratulations! You found a starting PG worse than Beverley in the NBA. By this, it's obvious that you don't think that highly of Beverley. But then again, it's hard for you to say Beverley is better than many other starting PGs in the NBA.

Go change your Patrick Beverley Appreciation Thread to

"Appreciating Patrick Beverley is better than Steve Blake" Thread ...

    YOU WERE SAYING!???

Locks up Curry after abusing Lillard last night and then makes huge buckets in the 4th while Lin falls apart against Douglas of all people.

Offense is a huge problem if they choose to leave Bev open b/c he has no offense. Look at tonight. He's actually hitting his shots for a change and the defense has to react and start guarding him.
