This gets silly at a point. Jeremy is an essential part of this team, and there are no objective signs of him going anywhere. Unfortunately for those of you who think Beverley is trash and plays like a monkey, the organization seems not to agree.

    <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Terrence Jones and Patrick Beverley. <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23NBARisingStarsBallot&amp;src=hash">#NBARisingStarsBallot</a>

    No that's not a thing but whatever, they should be in it</p>&mdash; Houston Rockets (@HoustonRockets) <a href="https://twitter.com/HoustonRockets/statuses/411376160811909120">December 13, 2013</a></blockquote>

So then like... what's the solution? Just foam at the mouth and bang on keyboards in hopes that the Gods intervene and ship one of them out of town? Just curious as to the endgame.

It's hard to know how good or not Lin is right now since to truly see his potential you need to put him on a team that lets him play as a point guard with usage rate similar to other starting point guards.

Not to say put the ball in his hands 24/7. But similar to any other starting PG in the league. Right now even off the bench it looks like Beverely (that gifted playmaker) handles the ball more than Lin.

Kind of hard to see what he can/can't do as a proper point guard. Either way he is not worth 15 million to the Rockets. Maybe to another team, but not to us.

also want to add - if the reason for lin coming off the bench is to help the bench, then you also can't put him in with the starters... the bench would be worse then it is now.

Don't cherry pick my argument. I made it crystal clear that you could argue that Crawford has it worse in terms of not starting. I said nothing about minutes. Don't tell me that Lin fans wouldn't be upset if someone with a PER and PPG average of less than Beverly was starting over Lin... even if Lin was getting good minutes.

He is nowhere near Harden when Harden is healthy, but Harden is a top 3 or 4 offensive player in the league when healthy. That is not a slight on Lin because only Durant and James are better scorers then a healthy Harden.

You sure that's the new official reason now?

    First "outplayed" - debunked.

Then "better defender" - offense is part of game, kind of important.

Finally, we all buy into the theory, "Harden is a great play maker and scorer, who needs the ball in his hands". Actually, I fully support his. NBA is about super stars, and you have to please your super stars to win. Everyone else is expendable. Once a bigger super star like LeBron or KD comes, the current super star will move over.

Now, all of the sudden, you threw in a new twist, Bev starts because Parsons called him a "leader". That's rich. Bunch of veterans on bench were called leaders on so many teams, but they are not entitled for a starting position.

    Is this Kindergarten?

You got a problem with them thinking highly of Bev, buy a airline ticket and come to Houston, go to the Rockets front office and discuss it with them instead of acting like a keyboard warrior.

The amount of stupid knee jerking in this thread is crazy.

Lin in his first game back off a knee injury has his minutes limited. Seems like a fairly reasonable thing to do.

    Nope.

Sampson hates Lin. Lin should have known better than to resign with a team that cut him. Lin has to be moved if he is only going to get 15 minutes. He can't be a 6th man of the year candidate playing only 20minutes per game! Even though if you throw out the game he got hurt and understand last night we were just easing him back in, he's playing essentially the same minutes as last season and playing extremely well this season for us.

This team isn't a finished product. No Asik, No McHale, Lins first game back from a knee injury, on the road against the current #1 team in the west and we lose. The world has ended!! Harden sucks! Bev sucks! Parsons sucks! Trade Lin!

Some of you guys have got to cut down on the crazy.

Considering Lowry's glorious history with McHale, I doubt that very much. Granted Lowry actually has a enticing contract that comes off the book at seasons end.

LOL. You are acting like a little kid.

Since when I had problem with anyone thinking highly of anyone, Bev included? Please quote a single message of me?

You listed YOUR reason of Bev starting, mind you, NOT Rockets front office, but YOUR reason, because Parsons called him a leader.

I simply told you how ridiculous that kind of "reason" was. Now I am keyboard warrior. It's time to look into your magical Spiegel. Seriously.

30+ minutes is entirely too much time for bev.

They were kidding him. Lin ,Dwight and Parsons joke with Beverley. Beverley responded to this kidding by saying "are you telling stories again" when Dwight said it on camera. However, knowing something about groiup dynamics it looks like Bev. might be the social-emotional leader of the Rockets. I think Dwight is the task leader of the Rockets. They respond when he says what needs to be improved. What's your opinion?

When did I say it was my reason? I said it might be that the team likes the balance more with Bev. Seriously get a grip.
