    I agree.
The Celtics reportedly turned down Shumpert for Rondo, but in my opinion Asik + Lin would have more value than Shumpert, especially if the Rockets include any picks or D-Mo (Jones just seems to valuable to include in my opinion). The Rockets would be taking a HUGE gamble on Carmelo leaving though.

According to the Trade Machine, he has something called a 1 year Bird which would require his consent to any trade, so you are correct. I was not aware of this.

Right now my gut feeling says 80% Asik gets traded to the Celtics.

The fact that they're winning yet still has a clear hole in the middle makes them the perfect fit. And they have both expirings(Humphries), 2-year contracts(Bass, Lee), as well as a boatload of picks. For example, if they offer Humphries, the Clippers pick(2015 and likely ~25 range), their own pick this year with heavy protection(say top-15 protected or whatever they feel the cut-off line for the top prospects).

To me that's a trade that makes sense for both teams. Humphries can be our token backup big for a while. And the two extra 1st rounders can be thrown in to any team wishing to blow things up.

IMO, 99% Asik trade involves Boston, Atlanta, or Philly.

I also feel that Asik will land in Boston, possibly in a three team trade involving Boston, Houston, and either Philly or Atlanta. Rather than give up their own protected pick though, I see them offering the Brooklyn/Atlanta pick (whichever one ends up being worse since Atlanta can swap with Brooklyn this year) they got in the KG PP trade, which would likely be around 20.

Morey won't settle for anything other than a pick or a well regarded prospect. I'd be stunned if he swapped Asik for a situational player on a long contract. Between a pick and a prospect, though, I'd rather have the prospect. Sure, Morey traded a pick for Harden, but he also traded Lamb.

    Alphabet?

Atlanta, Milwaukee, Chicago, Boston, Philly ...... there's a theme here.

    Eastern Conference

Message to the West: Unless you bring us a superstar or Denver brings us that Knicks pick Asik is headed East.

Enough with the Giannis talk. It's silly and Asik is not near value for Giannis.

Bucks gm even mentioned and took notice that Giannis brought energy to the fans and the team when he steps onto the court. He loves him as much as the Bucks fan base does. Giannis is part of their future.

Now Ersan is def up for grabs.

Too much to give up for Rondo..

Make it Asik + pick + DMO for Rondo. Would that work salary wise? I think that looks more fair

No only an idiot would think that. Giannis alone is way more value than a offensively limited Asik

Hey Guys! My coworker just made a trade suggestion:

Rockets Get: K. Lowry, P. Patterson, C. Hayes

    Raptors Get: Asik, Lin

I't'll almost be like the good times! Thoughts? lol!

    Lowry/Beverly/Brooks
    Harden/Brewer
    Parsons/Garcia
    T. Jones/Patterson
    Howard/Hayes
