The rationale is that he doesn't want to play for this team.

Giving up on what? Making the playoffs? No. Winning 1 series? No. Winning a championship? That was hardly even a goal. You're delusional if you think the Rockets will win one this season. Inconsistent shooters on a team that relies heavily on the 3 point shot, a silly strategy capable of effectively neutralizing the teams best player in the 4th quarter, an all star who plays defense when he wants to and thinks iso ball at the end of the quarter is good even though it's only worked 5% of the time, etc. Enjoy the heartbreak.

Greg Monroe is a restricted FA this offseason. How do you plan to prevent Detroit from matching? Also, where do you plan to get the extra cap space to sign Monroe and another player?

Harden, Howard, Jones, D-Mo, Canaan, Covington, Beverley, Parsons all account for $42.529. The max for Monroe will be around $14.5 million. He will get a little less than the max. You would have to bank on one of Gortat or Stephenson being signed for $4.5 million. Gortat is a little doubtful at that price unless we get rid of D-Mo as well, but Stephenson should be signed for around that.

Unless I missed it, this is old news. He apologized to the teammates. He came back played really well against the Spurs. To quote McHale "I didn't know Asik is a GM". A disgrunted Asik is better than the names that are thrown out there as possible targets

Offer him a contract they would be scared to match. Detroit is 29th in attendance and 7th in the East. Drummond is their future now, and they need an all star who can be a reliable scorer (preferably a SG). Do they really want to use the rest of their cap space on Monroe?

and how would the bench score more than 13 points if they don't get the run? Garcia got 19 min (why?) and he basically jacked up 5 threes. the two better players casspi and lin got 16 and 15 respectively. if you want the bench to score more than you have to either 1) give them more minutes or 2) give them the green light which means give lin the ball and get casspi more involved. if all you're going to do is bring lin in and have him stand at the three point line and casspi stand at the three point line, then you're going to get Garcia-like results.
