The guy is coming back from being out 2 weeks, what did they expect? Bottom line, it seems like the coaches either want Lin to save the team, or nothing at all. The whole thing is a reflection of the fact that they don't actually know how to use him.

I don't know who should be starting, but my gut feeling is that what we see from Bev right now, is about where he will be all season.

With Lin, I honestly don't know what to expect. I think he is more talented than we have yet seen, but I am not sure whether it will all come together for him this season, or on this team.

I'm proud of the way Patrick handles his roll on this team.

Some nights, he will be off and others they will be hot, hot, hot -- but let's face it, this could be said of any of the starters.

The traditional PG is non-existent on this team - we have two combo guards (James & Jeremy) and a defensive guard. This set-up is working out well and will only get better as they play more together. (All 3 have been injured and have missed games)

Everyone needs to exercise a bit more patience and not go off the deep end just because of a loss.

We're over .500 and that's something that I can live with.

BleachersReport did a comparison of our lineup with Lin vs Beverly. i normally don't quote BleachersReport but it's hard to fudge things up when it's just comparing numbers.

You should know that Lillard scored 22 against us last time, and they ended up losing.

I can't bear lurking anymore and registered, so welcome a newbie in this board gently since you can consider me LOF too. I was a NY fan and still remembered clearly how The Dream schooled Ewing :(

And no, Lin and Harden is not a good pairing, why? Well if they still don't get it then maybe they will get this answer "Lin will not look good next to a bearded man ".

They should stay with Bev, give it more time. Houston needs Lin as their 6th man since Harden needs to dominate the ball. Same reasoning Lin and Melo will not work too. Stupid knicks, they already have found a jewel sleeping in a couch. They could have easily made him their 6th man who is light years better than JRSmith. Lin would have been jumping for joy if the knicks offered him 4M/yr + 3 yrs and not go through RFA.

My fellow LOF needs to remember his humble beginnings and got to this level real fast. And yes I want to see him start but Harden is the team's priority. If anything, hope McHale is consistent with Lin's playing time or maybe increase it more.

    Fire away!

Damn you guys grossly overrate Jeremy Lin on here:rolleyes:

The excuses for this guy keep piling up. If he plays slightly well he's considered a hall of fame PG who can do absolutely no wrong (according to his fans). But if he plays terrible then it's everybody's fault but his (Coaching staff, Harden etc..). The problem is most of his fans don't really know basketball and end up sounding very silly when defending Lin. I

I kinda wish they would just trade the guy so we can talk good basketball on this site again

Clutch has never said anything negative about Lin or any other player...

But it's statements like this that make it hard for a lot of the other people on the board to like Lin.

It's been said several times by a lot of members on this board. We like Lin, but we don't like fans such as your self who seem to always make a Mountain out of mole hill. You're always taking things out of context and making things up.

It's just freaking ridicules how you LOF take things.. The majority of us on this board are fans of the Rockets and not just one individual. We could care less who got the most rebounds, points, assist and who played the most minutes. All we care about is the team winning and this is what separates us from LOF.

When the team won their 2 championships, we didn't care if Cassell or Smith played the most minutes. We cared about us winning the game, once you understand that then you will be able to understand why we get so irritated and frustrated with all the Lin only post.

When you joined it was for a Houston Rockets website and not a J. Lin website. If you want to grieve and cry about Lin this and Lin that; then go to a J. Lin website. But when you come to Clutch be respectful and understand that this is a Rockets website and then all of this crap and nonsense can be avoided.

So with all that said, don't ever come to this board and lie and disrespect the man who started it all... Clutch has done more for this city and team in a day then you have your entire life. So when you come into a man's house ask him for permission before you open up his fridge.

Except that the whole team's offensive philosophy has been predicated on putting the ball in Harden's hands ever since he came here. What you're proposing would be a seismic shift in the team's foundational identity.

It's seems like the Rox and it's affiliates know Lin is a valuable cash cow but don't want to give him a big role. They want to keep him around but only for the publicity and increased interest. I think a lot of forums are like this.

The guy is a good player but a distraction for the team. Just trade him so we can all move on with Life.

Bev shutdown lLillard last night. Thats what he is in the game for, not his offense. We need offense on our bench not more defense. Lin is perfect for that role. Ball in his hands more often so he can show his skills. Offense in our starting lineup is not an issue. If we lose close games it isnt our 5th options fualt. Its the stars we pay the big bucks too that need to step up in clutch situations (Harden, Howard). Plus if you try to argue that Bev is not better that Lino n D then you entire point is rendered mute if you ask me.

    Rondo is a career 24% 3-point shooter.

Just in case you forgot, that's the metric that everybody tried to use last season to oust Lin from a starter role.

Money isn't the issue. If a team wins, it'll bring more attention and revenue from everywhere, regardless if they have popular players or not.
