I wouldn't mind if Lin will ask to get traded like Asik,If I were him I would asked to be traded even if it is in a scrub team.I like him and I don't want his talent to be wasted here in Houston, this is a shame that a player who helped this team to be in a playoff will be treated this way, much more that he improved all facets of his games this season....Yes I concur that Houston doesn't like Lin and no support was thrown coming from the FO and coaching staff and this a shame for a team player like this guy!

I guess the Rockets don't run a charity now. How shocking.

Great players make plays. They make coaches notice, they make coaches have to put them in games. Lin hasn't done that. You can't expect the team to formulate some plan to coddle Lin and develop him. They paid him $25 million dollars to BE a great player and that's not on them, it's on LIN. He has to prove it to them but it hasn't worked out.

Man enough with the Lin support, why can't we just admit that he is redundant. I think the only reason he is still in the rotation is because we don't want to drive down his value.

This kind of post is what makes me cringe. The guy is off to a great start to the season. How has he not fulfilled his contract at this point? Some of you are constantly moving the goal posts. The kid is playing very well. Bev, at this point, is the one not holding up the his end of the bargain of being a 3&D guy.

Rockets is not going anywhere which these "amateur" coaching staff. They will "high" on anyone who have a good game or hot hand. As of now we have the "egg" on high dose. Who is next? TT experiment? Fisher experiment? wtf..

The team now lost their chemistry, playing short hand and yo-yoing players minutes, everyone is yelling at everyone. Lets see how far can they go with these foundation..

    9pts 2 assists 39% fg 33% assists in 32 mpg

This is all i have to say, these numbers are terrible...Period.
And you tell me he got rebounds, who cares about rebounds when the rockets pay Howard 20+ mil to rebound. Dont even talk to me about Lin, just admit that Bev is not playing well. The talk was that Bev could shoot better than Lin, well not this season. The talk was Bev would put up a PER equal to Lin, well not this season. Facts are facts but yeah talk to me about a block Bev had...yeah ok...how about Bev do pg stuff like set up a player for easy shots. Lin was the best assists man on the team so sitting him for one of our worst is affecting how we score. Rockets still score but its mostly on one on one cause. Dude airballed two wide open layups...its just comical.

LOL. Bev did a great job last night. He shut down Lillard, had 11 rebounds, and 3 steals. It seemed like Bev was all over the court.

We lost to a good team on their home court. The Rockets had a bad night shooting, not much more to it than that.

This kind of comments make me laugh, who helped this team to be in a playoff last year was it Beverly? When Harden was out for that pivotal games w/ Clippers,Orlando and I forget the other team was not that enough for you,c'mon dude you're blinded w/ your hate not really on his skill sets. How many games did he played so far and helped us to win?How can he make great plays if he's not playing? This kid has it and don't be blind w/ your hate.

If Beverley had Lin's offensive ability _ he would be a super hero.... And vice versa...

Great point Rip, Lin fans, please include Bev's rebounds and steals when you quote his stats. Fair is fair.

Beverly played well last night, we could use an upgrade but the answer is not Lin.

I don't hate him but the fact is the cream rises to the top. Do you really think that Lin and Harden have the same amount of talent, skill and ability?

Answer that. If you believe so you are delusional.

Sorry, OP. Lin won't be traded and will likely stay as our 6th man.

I wouldn't be opposed to bringing in a starting PG. Bev & Lin are both better coming off the bench. Neither player is great at controlling the tempo, creating good spacing or keeping teammates calm and tuned-in.

There's no leadership at PG. We have role players at PG. That's one of the reasons I feel we lead the league in turnovers and seem to miss opportunities/become stagnant a few times each half.

Lacking a "true" PG works fine when you have a strong creator on the wing, unfortunately Harden isn't there yet. He hasn't matured when it comes to understanding when to shoot, when to attack, when/how to get teammates involved and he turns it over too much. Plus, he can be an elite player moving without the ball. We don't have a Pippen, Odom, Webber, Lebron, Hill or McGrady-level creator to run the offense through. Harden will get there, he's just not there yet.

I'd be fine with bringing in a player like Andre Miller (a very un-Morey like move) to control the tempo and lead the team. I cant see a guy like that getting more than 10-15mpg but he very well could start and finish. That's the kind of guy you need in the playoffs. Someone who can set the tone and keep the gameplan from falling of the rails.

For the first time since the McGrady/Yao/Artest era, it might be time to make un-Morey like moves and bring in someone who can impact this team's stability and toughness on a consistent basis.

Rockets ran teams out of the gym last year from fast breaks getting easy points. It kind of made up for the defense in a way. "thats was our game it was fun to watch" Now we have more D which is great but if we cant get it done down the strecht those fast break points would come in handy.

What you talking about, Harden is the leadership at PG.

Yawn. It was the first game after 2 weeks out from injury.

I wasn't expecting good shooting after that long a lay off, or necessarily being anywhere near game speed in terms of reaction time. You just aren't going to be that sharp when you spend that long away from the game.

15 minutes is small minutes for Lin, but I really didn't expect him to play a lot of minutes given he's just getting back from a grade 1 knee sprain.

As for Bev, defensively he's doing fine. The real problem is his shooting has been relatively terrible all season.

There was 2 basic requirements we needed fulfilled from Beverley if he's going to start with Harden.

    1) Play defense
    2) Shoot well from the 3 point line (was supposed to be a near 40% shooter)

He's playing defense. How well we can debate all day but the data is far from conclusive due to sample size.

He is shooting poorly in that he's nowhere near 40% from 3.

And let's be honest, how many of us *really* thought that Beverley was going to be a facilitator or offensive force? Of our 3 PG's, Beverley in my opinion is the worst of the 3 PG's.

If you want to create offense, your choices are Lin > Brooks > Beverley.
If you want defense, your choices are Beverley >= Lin > Brooks.

    It is what it is.

I think the better question is *why* is Beverley's shooting still relatively low to last year? Is he still shaking off injury? Just a cold streak? Or was last year an anomaly?
