Klutchqt I was drunk the other night so forgive my raw/rudeness...

Tonight was terrible..bev held down lilliard...that doesnt excuse the +20..

Lin is coming off injury so Sampson either made the bad choice or decided to ease him in...or both...

ultimately this is a team game ,iF nobody plays the team game then we looWe.

The talent is here...whether or not it comes to fruition is a another story..

Jeremy is a good player..if the teaM Wants to make it to playoffs or division series, Lin will play a huge role.. If not...just trade him to the lakers

Sure it means. Players like Melo can have around 30 points and +/- at -18. That means that the guy is just pumping up his own stats regardless of his team suffering. The other side, when a guy has 2 points, but his +/- is 8, this guy is facilitating his teammates scoring.

+/- in a single game is extremely limited. You can't use it to argue whether someone played well or poorly, or whether they were singularly or in part responsible for the team playing well or poorly.

However... if the +/- is positive or close to 0, you CAN argue that in terms of net score that they did NOT cost you the game.

In other words, if you lose by 10 points, and when the person was on the floor the +/- was 0. Then the net score differential didn't change while they played. In other words, while they were on the floor the gap didn't close or increase. And as such, they can't be considered the major factor in the loss.

Also considering that the bench also played only 15, 16 and 19 minutes vs 29, 38, 39, 42, and 42 minutes, the bulk of the game was in the hands of the starters. IE, blaming the bench for the loss in terms of opportunity makes little sense either.

So, at most you can say that the bench didn't run up the score while they were on the floor.

I don't guess "sooner" might be tomorrow. :( I hope to God there's a backup center involved in the Asik trade.

this match only prove one thing I suspected long time: Kevin Sampson is a scrub.

no show, delay or trap on blazer's PNR, just let our guards got picked off again and again, defense got break down all game and no adjustment at all. instead he blame the guards, I mean wtf? even an old enuf rox fans ever watch yao/tmac know what you need to do to defend it as yao got lit up by it for years and we had indepth discussion on the forum, yet a coach been in the business several decades cant show a lit bit that he know what he's doing? if he doesnt know **** about it or he cant coach the players do any **** about it, he need to GTFO.

    L. Aldridge 31pts 25rebs, T. Jones + O. Casspi + C. Parsons for President....no defence, no offence, just metric ton of missed shots

I actually was encouraged by the team's D, and Dwight's post play, in this game. I blame the loss on the Asik situation (that is, the absence of Asik or the person who the Rockets will get in a trade for Asik). Also, I blame Sampson =for his minutes distribution. Rookie coaching mistake. I still think the team we will see in the spring will be much better than what we are seeing now.

Here's a innovative thought. How about instead of blaming coach Sampson, we hold the player/s who are mostly responsible for this loss. Funny how nobody is mentioning Parsons of Jones.

I agree. I realize Asik's situation is not great, but his pouting makes our team lose games. Maybe he wants to prove Morey how valuable he is and that he shouldn't sign Howard in first place!

Putting this on Jones is just too cruel. LMA has not only made the jump to all-star level, but is playing like a MVP candidate. So let's see, All-star/MVP candidate vs 2nd year rook....

    Parsons though....

Hustling on defensive boards is a good thing, which Beverly has done a great job.

But offensive rebounds should not be an intentional thing for PG's.

Guards are named "GUARDS" for a reason, they should be the first one's back on defense, and if a fast break happens, they are in first priority to be blamed.

So unless the team has a strategy for someone else to fill the void on this, you shouldn't see a guard hustling on offensive boards.

I'm proud of Asik. He is standing up for him and for the sake of his career's future. I admire that.
