Dwight absolutely dominated in the post tonight. Wish we would have gone to him more. Blazers had no answer for him.
its actually been pretty astonishing that dwights been able to rebound at an elite level still. its evident that superman has diminished when it comes to freakish athleticism. whats even more astounding is without athleticism, people tend to use more motor to make up the difference but dwight seems lazy when it comes to rebounding and help defense. his instincts and long arms are amazing when it comes to grabbing boards. though its sad to see him get rejected on what used to be throw downs on open pnr plays, that no one could elevate with him on. his height of jump and speed of jump has just been washed away due to his back problems. examples; put-back dunks. he used to be able to just put back misses in one swoop now he grabs a board, comes down with it, gains balance on ground and then lays it back up. superstars are unstoppable forces when need be and deserve the super max that they get. unfortunately dwight, imo, is not a superstar anymore and is not deserving of that super max he received.
Not exactly. This is exactly what the Blazers wanted. They didn't want to answer him. What they wanted to answer was our usual burst of threes, layups, dunks, and free throws. They did an outstanding job of doing that.
Can't tell if serious or trolling... Howard drops 31 pts and like 14 rebounds (something likr that) but isn't a max player? Seems legit
But if you're doing something which is working super effectively, why stop doing it? The Blazers could not guard Dwight and the rest of our offense was struggling.
His Post moves today was awesome!! I was giddy with his jump hooks. Hakeem's tutoring is paying off. And Howard can only get better.
