Losing to Portland at this stage of the season is different to losing to Utah/Phoenix.

Understandable.

Let's get better now that the key guys are healthy/healthier. Asik trade to go down soon, team dynamics will be different.

I do think we still need a PF. Jones would be great off the bench, provide McHale continues to give him 15+ minutes for development.

 

Is this your first NBA game you watch? OMG!
The bench played so few minutes to begin with, AND Sampson stuck them with Portland starters at the 4th quarter (yes, including Aldridge). Lin had to ask for a timeout because they were so mismatched.

This game is on Sampson, and to be fair, credit to Portland for playing tenaciously.

 

Bev bad shots, Parson forcing things after some bad blood with Dwight after that rebound, and Sampson's substitution

 

We didnt look prepared at all is why people are mostly frustrated. Yea we lost to good team, but the whole game it seemed out of reach even if we were up by 1.

 

Yeah we should keep Asik to guard one player on team

You can pretty much draw up a list of usernames who will blame Lin after a loss, and a list of usernames who will blame Beverley. It's really that painfully predictable at this point.

Bev nearly had a double double. Lilliard had 8 points, 0 rebounds and 6 assists. As a team, you take that matchup any day. We lost somewhere else, not because of the pg battle.

It's all ego. The coaching staff picked Beverly as their starting pg. Now they have to give him every chance to prove it to show they weren't clueless. Beverly is best of the bench and as off the ball player. He's great value for his contract in that role.

 

Let's be real here bud, Sampson may suck but he would do a way better job then Kidd lmfao.

 

He is a starter for this coaching staff. What intrigue me is why pay a bench player that much money if you don't have faith in him or utilizing him properly. Trading Lin would save a lot of money for the rockets and he would get an opportunity to maximize his talent as a starter on other team. It would benefit both parties.

You have Howard guard him and stick Jones on Lopez or extend the rotation to add Dmo at the 5 with Howard guarding Aldridge.

 

Portland were the better team, period.
Sampson shows us why he's only an assistant coach.

 

We played a great game overall. Howard was fantastic. In the end we just gave up too many offensive boards and gave up too many open jumpers. Portland is playing with a ton of confidence right now and at their home this was a tough game and in the end we couldn't pull it out, but I really liked this game as a whole for us. Got another tough one tomorrow, gotta clean it up a little and go win!

 

Momentum shifted, then Sampson should play all the starters for 48 minutes. See whether the momentum will shift......

 

It's amazing with that stat line that Lillard is +20 for the game??
