The Rockets did not play bad. The three ball was the only real area of weakness. They hit three more and that's the difference in the game. Beverly snatched 11 boards which was nice, but we needed more stout defense and rebounding from Jones. It's not embarrassing to lose this game, though.

Too much posting and not enough driving to the rim.

That line up was destined to fail though. Blame should be placed on Sampson for playing it. Oh well.

    Sampson needs to be fired.

Some of you are so incredibly blinded by your hate for Lin and/or Bev, and it is super pathetic. What's ironic is that more of a Lin/Bev backcourt probably would have made the difference tonight. We definitely could have used Lin's offensive production, and Bev's lockdown defense on Lillard and double-digit rebounding kept us as close as we were for much of the game. They play really well together, and it would have been a game-changer to see more of that tonight IMO.

Try stepping back from your biases/dislike-driven fingerpointing and appreciating what we have for a change. Geez.

Um.....you could say the same about the starters in the late 4th. Starters had a whole 10 minutes to play...that's a lifetime in basketball so I wouldn't blame the few players that were playing spot minutes too much.

Just got back from the bar. It feels like we just got done playing that NCAA midmajor that's been winning 20 in a row. Their confidence is just sky high now.

That being said, we had double the paint points and half the free throws. With two more games in Houston coming up, this will be the last win Portland has against us. In Houston Dwight will have his post-up kinks worked out, I guarantee you. We match up very favorably against this team.

Some credit gotta go the Blazers. They are a damn good team this season and 18-4 says it all. I am not mad about this loss at all.

Funny, the starters play bulk of the minutes and the lost is blamed on the bench. Be serious. Look at the numbers of shots the starters took. SMH.....

Don't matter to certain members on this board...even if Lin has cp3 stats they would still hate on him.

Portland played like a team. We didn't.

I don't know why Jones or Bev think they can just throw up a random shot in the 4th instead of giving it to Harden or Dwight.

I'm not too upset with this loss, especially given that quite a few more bad calls went Portland's way (or so it seemed).

Nevertheless, we played hard and lost, and this is only like the second or third time this season that I can say that. Had we not fallen behind by 8 points immediately at the start of the 4th, we might have even won. This team is good. But so is Portland.

The bench's performance in the 4th is on Sampson

can you actually expect a lineup of Bev/Lin/Garcia/Casspi/Jones to do anything on defense?

I don't care how much hustle Bev puts forth... he continuous to be a dud on the offensive end. He is NOT A STARTER

A loss to a good team on the road wouldn't upset me that much if the Rockets didn't lose 5 games to terrible comp already. Rocket need to make up those loses somewhere right?

While the bench did not produce at all tonight, the biggest to problems were the horrendous defensive rebounding and all the blown lay ups. I'd go ahead and make the trade with ATL at this point. We need rebouning and scoring from the four.

I agree, though our effort on the defensive glass was pathetic. That's the only thing I really wasn't happy at all with.
